life of gratitude and blessing
(Genesis 13:14-18)
(…) The word about the Feast of Harvest was given when the Israelites had not yet arrived in Canaan. To get to the Promised Land, you have to suffer more, but it is to keep the Thanksgiving Day as if you have already arrived (…) This is Israel's dream, and it is God's earnest message to strengthen the march in the wilderness. Today, on Thanksgiving Day, we would like to reflect on the meaning of “blessings and thanks”. Having an abundance of material is not the only blessing. Only joy and gratitude are truly blessings. Everyone likes to be blessed. In particular, we Christians should live with blessings in this world. Whether it be material or spiritual blessings, we must all live with the blessings God gives us. (…) Abraham received the blessing that is the source of great blessings. This means that not only Abraham himself, but because of Abraham, his family will be blessed, his nephew will be blessed, and his nation will be blessed. Because of his blessing, all people were blessed.(…) God made Abraham a blessed man in the midst of many trials. Why did you make me a blessed person?
① It is because he lived a life centered on the altar wherever he went. (…) This is the secret that God made Abraham prosper. Modern people have a tendency to simplify life and go towards convenience. quickly… Worship is fast... If you rush it, you will get rough and the truth will be easily omitted. This will be a life that drives away the blessings that come after you.(…) In the second half of 2009, above all else, I hope that you will give thanks in the place where God blesses you by working harder in your worship life.
②Abraham was the center of peace. He was a maker of peace between people as well. He made a lot of investments and sacrificed a lot for Shalom. Even when there was a conflict over land problems, he yielded a very fertile and fertile land.(…) Then God made the wasteland that Abraham chose to become a welfare state in Canaan, flowing with milk and honey. Be the shalom-maker of peace. This will be a life of blessing and gratitude.
③ It is a life centered on obedience. When he judged that it was God's will, he absolutely obeyed. Abraham had only “Yes” and no “No”. please try Here is a life of blessing and gratitude.
④ It is a life of hospitality. Abraham liked to treat strangers passing by by coercing them. I was treated to a stranger, but it turned out to be an angel. Unknowingly, he was treated to an angel. Don't you know this enough? Blessed people have a different way of living. I have a different opinion.(…)
A life of gratitude and blessing does not come from possessing many things. Altar-centered life, peace center, obedience center, hospitality... You become grateful and realize the blessings. True victory is not conquest or possession. Blessings come when we give thanks endlessly. Amen.
