Title: Life of Resurrection (John 11:17-27)
It had been four days since Lazarus died, and his body was rotten and his body smelled. Jesus raised Lazarus to life. What is the life view of resurrection faith that we Christians should have? Through today's text, we are going to reflect on the meaning of the Resurrection Day and how we should have faith in the resurrection and what life should be like for those who have faith in the resurrection.
First, we must renew our understanding of the resurrection faith.
The resurrection event of Jesus must work passionately as a present existential event. Jesus enlightens us about our misunderstanding of the resurrection faith. It is easy to think that after death we are resurrected and that now it has nothing to do with resurrection.
But the resurrection is not a future event, but a present event. We have the wrong idea of trying to believe that God is the God of the dead.
Only those who have the resurrection life of the present will have God in the present and in the future. Because God is a living being, He is a God who works in me as life. Resurrection awakens the sleeper of death.
Second, those who have faith in the resurrection can overcome the futility of life.
The outward man perishes, but the inward man is renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4:16), because Paul became the possessor of eternal things through faith in the resurrection. Since humans are under the challenge of death, the emptiness of life that comes from this is even more serious. In the face of the challenge of death, some people fall into nihilism thinking about death, while there are two types of people who draw closer to God and be more faithful while thinking about death. A Christian should show that the outward man grows old, but the inner person becomes more mature and the inner man becomes newer. This is the resurrection faith.
Third, those who have faith in the resurrection put all their hopes in heaven.
The more we put our hope on the ground, the more we feel the sense of emptiness. However, nihilism can only be overcome when we place all our hopes in an empty world.
According to my earnest expectations and hopes, I am not ashamed of anything, but I have full courage now as before, so that whether I live or die, only Christ is honored in my body (Philippians 1:20). Paul did not see his own death, but looked to Christ. it's boam
Those who met Jesus through resurrection faith do not value this world.
We must focus our faith on the risen Lord, but everything will change. Those who have faith in the recycling must keep Sunday as a holy and holy day.
