Title: Life of True Positiveness / Psalm 116:1~14
Content: A life of true positivity / Psalm 116:1~14
“… My soul, return to your peace… ” (Psalm 116:1 14) A life of true positivity focuses on my relationship with God. Only when we interpret everything that God gives to us positively and grasp it positively will we become a positive life.
Self-hypnosis of “I can do it” and “I will be fine” is not a true positive life. A positive life begins when we become convinced of God's love for us through the cross of the Lord and meditation on His Word.
Why does God give death and suffering? As in verse 4, it is given to us to pray. Even a person with good faith like David won every war, so he did not go to the battlefield and slept without praying. If there is no suffering, there is no prayer. This is our limit. That's why he gives us hardships to pray.
It's not meant to ruin us, it's to train us. The problem is that we are suffering and not praying. There are people who vaguely think 'God will solve it somehow' without even praying.
This is Psalm 50:15. "Call on me in the day of trouble, and I will deliver you, and you will glorify me." But they don't call on God. God did not give you a disease to seek a doctor.
The reason God gave us difficulties in human relationships is not to seek a counselor. It is to come to God. When it is difficult, we should seek God, not people. What are humans? Verse 11 of the text says, "Everyone said he was a liar." People cannot be trusted. Man is not an object of faith, but an object of forgiveness and love. So, do not go to people when you are in trouble. If you seek God, God will answer you.
When you face difficulties and pray, the words of verse 8, “You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from stumbling,” become your confession. If you pursue only what is comfortable and live comfortably, you will not be able to do great things. It also becomes impossible to build up a heavenly reward. God gives you suffering because He wants each of you to be a great co-worker of God.
