Title [9.6] Life with Pleasure
content
(Romans 5:1-11)
Senior
Since last week, I have been dealing with the question of how Christians live through the words of Romans. Romans 1 says that those who believe in Jesus are those who live by faith. Romans 5 tells us that those who believe in Jesus are happy beings as they live happily.
Verse 1 says, “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Here, the two words “by” and “with” have important meanings. The peace, peace, and happiness we enjoy are given to us through Jesus Christ. This is what we call happiness when we are with God.
Also, in today's text, the word "rejoicing" appears repeatedly. Verse 2 says, “Behold the glory of God, and rejoice.” Verse 3 says, “Rejoice in tribulation.” Verse 11 says, “Rejoice in God.” If we analyze the word “rejoicing” more accurately, it can be interpreted as “God is in me”. Because the Trinity is in me, I enjoy happiness with Jesus, and because God is living with the Holy Spirit. I will.
Through the phrase “we rejoice in tribulation,” we realize that ‘the joy of the saints’ is not only rejoicing in the absence of tribulation. Nor does it rejoice after tribulation is over. Even though we are deeply immersed in the midst of tribulation and suffering, we are people who can rejoice, rejoice, and be happy. Such a life is a life enjoying the joy of saints.
Among our members, we see truly mature people, and the one thing they have in common is that they are people who have gone through a tunnel of suffering. They have no enemies, love all people, and live with them in their hearts. They are people who are not capricious according to the circumstances of life, and they are people who triumph even in the midst of suffering.
When you see an Omega watch being advertised, the hands always point to 10:10. The reason is to stimulate the purchase desire of consumers by embodying a smiling face. Everyone, just walking around the streets and smiling will make the world brighter. They are people who live their lives doing great things before God even if they just laugh at church.
As Christians, we confess that we are ‘people who live happily’ and ‘people who live happily’, and I bless you in the name of the Lord to become a people of faith who live a joyful life.
