Title: Life with the Lord

▒▒▒▒ Psalm 23:1-6
Psalm 23 is a poem we all know very well, and it was also written by King David before he died of old age. This psalm contains David's reflection on his past life and his prospects for the life to come. Today, as we celebrate the year-end Sunday service, the text makes us look back and look forward to our lives.
David makes an important confession. “He revives my soul and leads me in paths of righteousness for the sake of his name.” After God forgives and renews David, David lives more and more for the glory of God. In 2 Corinthians 5:15, the Apostle Paul said, “He died on the cross for me, so that the Lord died for us so that the living may no longer live for themselves, but for Jesus Christ, who died for us and was resurrected. He confessed.”
Retrospect Here is the outlook. After receiving grace, you must make a decision on how to live in the future. “Your goodness and kindness will surely follow me, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” That is our outlook and our determination. In The Chronicles of Narnia, written by C.S Lewis, who won the Nobel Prize in Literature, Aslan, who represents Jesus, appears. When Lucy meets Aslan and asks what Aslan looks like, Lucy replies, “Lion”. When asked, “The lion is a scary beast, isn’t it scary?” Lucy replied, “Isn’t it scary? Of course, Aslan is not docile. But Aslan is good.” answer. Jesus is such a person. When Jesus saw iniquity, he rebuked him. When he saw the people doing business in the temple, he was a terrible person who overturned the business table. But Jesus is always good.
Surely the goodness and mercy of the Lord be with us; may we have the prospect and determination among us to dwell in the house of the Lord forever, in the name of the Lord.
