Title: Light and Salt

Contents

Light burns itself to illuminate others, and salt melts itself and makes it tasteful. Those who live with Jesus in Jesus are the light and salt of the world. A Christian must burn himself to brighten the dark world, and melt himself to make the bleak world a livable one.

Light and salt cannot hide their existence. When I burn myself, the light that comes out is bound to be revealed. Darkness cannot cover the light. The darker the night, the brighter the light. Even salt cannot hide its existence. The more salt dissolves, the more salty it tastes, indicating the presence of salt. Salt always tastes salty. Christians, the light and salt of the world, cannot be hidden.

However, there are many Christians in Korea today, and it seems that the light does not shine and it does not taste good. There are many churches that have lost their taste and Christians who have lost their taste. "If salt loses its saltiness, what can it be used for saltiness? Then it is of no use, so it is thrown outside, and people trample it." In this world today, the church is a laughing stock and Christians are not trusted. Just two or three years ago, Protestantism was growing terribly, and the words of the church had weight. Now the growth has stopped and people are not listening to the church.

A greedy man died and went to Peter. Peter said, "Where do you want to live? I will take you wherever you want." said When the greedy man said, "I want to accumulate gold like a mountain, wear fine clothes, eat delicious food, and live a healthy life," Peter took him to a large and luxurious castle. There, gold was piled up like a mountain, fine clothes were scattered, and delicious food was plentiful and always healthy. At first they were very happy, but there was no one to share their joy with. So as the years went by, it got boring and boring. When he met Peter again a thousand years later, he questioned. "What kind of heaven is so uninteresting? Let me live somewhere else." Then Peter said: "No, you have always thought that this is heaven. This is hell. I sent you to hell because you asked me to send you to hell."

Those who know only me and only care for themselves, who sacrifice others for themselves, cannot enter Heaven and have no choice but to live in Hell. No light can come out of such a person, and no flesh can taste. Such a person is a one-dimensional human being. I move according to my instincts and desires. I am kind and kind to those who benefit me, give to me, and take my side, but if they hate me, I hate myself; if they are angry at me, I get angry, and if they curse at me, I curse myself. If you hit me, I hit you too. "A tooth for a tooth, an eye for an eye." If you live like this, the world will become dark and lifeless. All for me, it smells rotten and rotten. But those who melt themselves like salt make flesh taste good and do not rot. He who burns himself like light illuminates the darkness and prevents decay.

How wonderful it would be if we could just love our enemies and live! However, it will be difficult for us who lack faith to always love our enemies and live. But just because someone insults me doesn't mean I have to swear at him. Being mad at me doesn't mean I have to be mad at him. Just because someone hits me doesn't mean I have to punch him. Just because someone frowns on me doesn't mean I have to frown on him. Such a person is a person who sees the inside as clear as water from a plate. Human beings acting in such a one-dimensional manner cannot be said to know neither God nor the soul.

Those who believe in Jesus can respond in different ways. Because we can feel, judge, and act with the heart and mind of Jesus, we can respond in a different way. Even if someone is angry with me, I can treat them with a smile. No matter who insults me, I can cover him. This opens up a new dimension to life that is bright and delicious.

Donghak is a popular religion deeply influenced by Christianity. Choi Hae-wol, the second principal of Donghak, praised women highly. Even though she lived in a clich  100 years ago, she had democratic and women's emancipation ideas. Haewol said: "A woman who conceives, gives birth to, nurtures, and takes care of life is a spiritual being. However, a woman's heart is biased, and she gets angry easily. You have to do it. If you bow down once and your heart doesn't get better, you have to bow out loud 10 times. Then, your heart will be relieved as well." Even now, if a husband bows to an angry wife and a wife bows a lot to an angry husband, the light will shine in the home and the sesame seeds will pour out and the flesh will taste better.

A believer's life must have a subtle and profound aspect. You don't have to be a sinister and insidious person, but you shouldn't be a person who looks like water on a plate. The Christian life should be majestic and rich. Salt has a deep taste, and light has seven subtle iridescent colors. Often, people who fall for black and white logic think that there are only black and white in this world. Only gray is between black and white. So, when you fall into black and white logic, you only know right and wrong, winning, losing, and winning. However, it is said that there are 1500 colors between white and black. The middle way, there can be any other way.

"Let your light shine upon men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."

The purpose of the Christian life is to glorify God for one thing. Calvin, who created the theology and system of the Presbyterian Church, considered the most important theological principle that man should not be glorified but glorified God. Calvin was buried without a tombstone or rock in an unnamed cemetery on the outskirts of Geneva, in accordance with the principle of his religious life of giving glory to God alone. This was according to Calvin's will, "What pride do you have to leave your name on the tomb of the dead?"

If we live with Jesus, who is the true light of life, there is bound to be light. If you melt and burn ???with Jesus, it will shine. However, if the light shines on you, the light does not shine and the glory of God does not return. Let our light shine not upon ourselves, but upon others. Only then will the name of Jesus shine and God will be glorified.

Where's the fool who turns on the lights and covers them with daffodils? When you shine a light on yourself and give glory to yourself, it is like turning on a light and covering it with a piece of paper. The reason why the light of the Korean church does not shine, the taste and flavor of life, and the vitality of missions do not come out is because the light of faith and the gospel is covered with one's own greed and old thoughts. When I take the lead and give my name, the church of God does not shine and the taste of the gospel disappears. Let the light shine on others. So let the church of Jesus shine and overflow with the power of the gospel.

What kind of good deeds should we show people? The good deeds here are not the achievements of old-fashioned law in which man tried to justify himself before God. The good deeds that seek to make a name for themselves in order to justify themselves do not shine. The good deeds that Jesus speaks of are life and actions that are worthy of the horizon of the kingdom of God that is dawning now. The kingdom of God, governed by God's justice, love, and peace, will come at dawn in Jesus Christ. Where Jesus Christ lives, the kingdom of God will dawn. Those who live in the sight of the kingdom of God in Jesus should not do good deeds to set themselves up and make them stand out, but to do good deeds that melt and burn themselves so that the kingdom of God shines and others taste good. We need to save each other, take care of each other, and bless each other.

Let the name of Jesus shine in Asia on the Korean Peninsula. Now, the Korean church must fulfill its role as the light and salt of Asia. Let's dream of missionary work in Asia. Today, thinkers and politicians are paying attention to Northeast Asia, saying that the Pacific era has arrived. Let's dream of a 'big sea of peace' in the Asian continent and the Pacific Ocean. God gives us a big dream of missionary work in Asia today.

At the beginning of the 21st century, when the new millennium begins, on the Korean Peninsula at the edge of the Asian continent, we see the 'Great Sea of Peace'. He made us live here to learn the wide and lively spirit of the Asian continent and the great and deep embrace of the 'Great Sea of Peace'.

In order to learn peace, our people have been through painful and shameful things for so many years.

To learn the truth, our people have been wandering on the wrong path for so many years.

He gave such difficult trials to our people to increase their faith.

Now, we have entered the era of a global community of life, in which mankind and all living things live together within one fence and save each other, the 'era of the great sea of peace'. Pray that He will give us a heart as wide as the continent and a heart as large as the sea so that we can live in this age. Let our hearts be humbled as dust and empty as heaven, so that the light of the kingdom of God may shine. In Jesus, we can have a heart as wide as the Asian continent and a heart as large as the Pacific Ocean. Only then can we share material blessings and spiritual blessings with our North Korean compatriots and Asians who are hungry for food and the word of the gospel. So let a great light shine in Asia.

Three years ago, while I was in India for a full month, I met Untouchables. 300 million Untouchables out of India's 10 population have been treated less than animals for 3,500 years. I could see how miserable and unhappy the people who were denied contact because they said that if they touched the body, sin was transmitted. I knew that if physical contact was denied, not only would my human rights be deprived, but my soul would also be destroyed. A third grade girl was told that she was blinded by a teacher while drinking water from the school's water supply. Also, I looked around the Untouchables in the countryside, where a family of 8 lived together in a crypt-like house, and saving was an unthinkable poor living. Their house had no door. This was so that men of other classes could come and rape their daughters and wives at any time. When he saw the shoes of an outsider man in front of the house, his untouchable husband said he had to go somewhere else for an hour or two before coming back. When I heard this story, I felt shame and anger as a human being. I still can't believe this is happening on Earth.

I spent one night and one day at an educational institution for untouchable children with disabilities. The hymns of the skinny and handicapped children who looked hungry resounded and filled with inspiration. Attracted by the powerful hymns from the hungry intestines, I often joined their worship services. I could see the light of the kingdom of God by seeing the souls longing for life in the eyes of those children. When we look into their eyes, the light of the kingdom of God will shine through our eyes as well. Then the Korean church, which is now in ruins, can live.
