Living water that works miracles of life (Ezekiel 47:1-12)
Today is the second Sunday of Advent. He said that Advent should be spent reverently, with moderation, and with prayer just like Lent. Why should we spend this Christmas season like that? It is just to stay awake. Only when we are spiritually awake can we welcome the coming Messiah without shame. This Advent is a season of longing and waiting for the Lord to come, but also the love, salvation and blessings of Jesus who came as a great light in this dark world, groaning in pain, and giving Jesus to those who are desperate with life's crises and problems It is also a season to hope that the door of a new life will be opened wide by welcome. Dear saints, I hope this Christmas will be a blessed Christmas in which all of us meet Jesus and the door of blessing opens wide. .
Ezekiel's vision foretells the coming of Jesus. Jesus is the living water that flowed in the wilderness. Jesus is the living water of God that works miracles of life in the Dead Sea. Ezekiel is foretelling to us what Jesus will do. Jesus will come into the world with the living water of God, work miracles of life wherever he goes, and turn everyone he meets into a person of life. According to the Gospels, it testifies to us that Jesus, the living water from God, works miracles of life wherever he comes.
Jesus declared this: “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the scripture says, out of his belly will flow rivers of living water” (John 7:37,38). Ladies and gentlemen, the Gospels testify to these words as they are. Anyone who came to Jesus and received Jesus and believed in Him experienced the thrill and miracle of a river of living water flowing from the boat. Matthew proclaims that Jesus is coming. “The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and to those who sat in the land and shadow of death a light has shined” (Matthew 4:16). That's right. Jesus was the light of light to those who sat in darkness. Jesus was the light of heaven that brought miracles of life to those who sat in the land and shadow of death. Everywhere Jesus went, miracles of life took place. The gates of heaven were opened to everyone who met Jesus. Those who accepted Jesus became people of blessing. Who were the people like the wilderness of Judea, the people like the Dead Sea, who met Jesus? Were they not suffering from various diseases, possessed by demons, epileptics, and paralytics? But when they met Jesus, they were healed.
Ladies and gentlemen, Advent is the season of waiting for Jesus. Advent is the season to announce the coming of Jesus. Everyone, when you meet Jesus, this amazing miracle of life will happen. Jesus is the living water of God. Wherever Jesus goes, and from everyone who meets Jesus, living water of amazing emotion, living water of joy, and living water of blessing will flow.
