Title: Living a clean life

▒▒▒ Psalm 119:9-16
Psalm 119 is the longest of all the Old and New Testaments, and is a well-written, literaryly well-structured psalm with 22 Hebrew consonants arranged at the beginning of each stanza, and is a psalm of God's law.
If you look at the church feast from this Sunday, it corresponds to Advent. Advent has two major meanings. One is the feast of commemorating and praising Jesus who came to this earth. The other is the season of waiting for Jesus to come back in light of what Jesus said, “I will come again to you in the same way I have seen you go into heaven.” In Matthew 25, the words of the ten virgins are recorded, and the five wise virgins meet the bridegroom and participate in the heavenly banquet by preparing oil in their lamps. However, the five foolish virgins who did not prepare oil for their lamps cannot meet the bridegroom and cannot participate in the heavenly banquet. What is important is how we can meet Jesus, the bridegroom, like the five wise virgins. The answer is to pray sober and watchful in 1 Peter 4:7. The text tells us the secret of how the five wise virgins were able to meet Jesus and what it means to be vigilant and watchful and pray in the last days.
As 2008 draws near, I pray that you will become saints who live a holy life in the last days through a chaste life and fellowship with the Lord through the Word.
