Title: Living according to God's best
Contents
※ Bible: Daniel 1:8-21
First, they acted immediately according to the good will of God.
Second, be humble.
What would have happened if Daniel had said this in today's text? “I am a people of Israel who serve only God. So the idolatry you serve is ugly. If he had said, “The food is unclean” placed in front of him, perhaps Daniel would not have survived. But Daniel spoke humbly. Verse 12, “I beg you, after giving your servants food to eat and drink and water for ten days, compare our faces before you with the faces of the boys who ate the king’s delicacies, and dispose of the servants as you see them. Please...” he said. Here Daniel humbly gave the chief eunuch a chance to judge. Living according to God's best means being humble and doing your best in the task entrusted to you. Saints! We want you to live your life in obedience to the best of God.
Third, leave the results to God.
In Daniel 3, Daniel's three friends, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, are thrown into the furnace because they did not bow down to the golden image set up by King Nebuchadnezzar. Then they said that they would not bow down to idols even if they died in the furnace. The result is to leave it to God.
Saints!
Please live according to God's best, not my own interests.
Live humbly in deeds, not words. And leave the results to God. You will surely live a life that reveals the glory of God.
