Title: Living by Faith (John 12:45-50)
We are now living with an important mission in a very important time.
We are living with faith and faith in the age of unbelief, and God's grace and peace in the age of anxiety and fear.
I live by the river.
Living with the Gospel in an age of confusion and wandering, with love and service in an age of loneliness and selfishness
are living
Therefore, sometimes we collide, conflict, and wander.
Sometimes I feel lonely, exhausted, and want to give up everything, and sometimes I have doubts and conflicts in my life of faith.
Also try taking
However, we are not the ones who will collapse or give up in weakness under these conditions.
In the midst of this, we keep our faith and live our lives one day while maintaining our faith and life.
All.
Sometimes we believe in Jesus who came as the light, but we also live in darkness and believe in Jesus who came as life.
and running towards death.
But we are still living in God as people of God,
breathing with the help of
As a person of God who believes in God, there may be troubles, conflicts, wanderings and frustrations.
Even for those who live by God's grace, sometimes trials and tribulations and hardships may come upon them.
But the important thing for us is that we may not go through it, but we have to overcome it and endure it.
to be.
Therein lies the charm of the religious life.
The charm of the Christian life lies in waiting, in humility, and in victory, the last remnant.
Therefore, we must still live by faith and live by faith.
What does it mean to live by faith?
1. Today, in a bright place, we live by light.
Faith does not depend on mortal man, but on the eternal and unchanging beginning of God.
It means relying on God and looking forward to being with us from the beginning to the end.
While living a religious life, suddenly doubts arose, so I wandered, or while serving God, my heart suddenly changed.
If you stop working because you are injured, or if you are doing God's work and are confused by people's words, be patient.
It is unfortunate that
No one is as foolish as anyone who rejects, gives up, or doubts the truth of God.
Even if someone shakes everything under the heavens, those who live by faith still walk with God
are doing
"(44) ... He who believes in me does not believe in me, but in him who sent me."
“(45) He who sees me sees the one who sent me.”
"(46) I came into the world as light, that whoever believes in me may not dwell in darkness."
God's grace keeps us from dwelling in darkness.
But the world is full of darkness.
We are in the darkness of worry, anxiety, worry, fear, and anxiety, but when we meet Jesus who came as the light, we are now bright.
can come to
As the Bible says, 'He who believes in me sees me', this promise has already been kept to us.
it will end
Jesus was and came as light, but that light shines for us and toward us.
And he generously granted all the grace and blessings of light to all who believed.
Therefore, we cannot dwell in darkness now.
If I am now in darkness, disappointment, frustration, envy, jealousy, and resentment, I do not believe in Jesus now.
don't know if
We hope that we will come out of darkness and welcome the days of light by living the life of faith right now.
And what is it that we live by faith?
2. It means to live while enjoying God's waiting grace.
The world is now in danger and crisis, and disease and death are spreading rapidly.
Dissonance due to sin and transgression, dissatisfaction due to pride and swearing, injustice due to envy and jealousy,
A lie is rapidly taking over me and spreading through the world.
Once you start being swept away by this dark current, there is no way out.
As greed grows, hatred and resentment increase, and selfishness and pride for self-satisfaction become stronger.
there is only
What would be the result?
All that remains is the judgment of God and the darkness of our lives.
“(48) There is one who will judge those who reject me and do not listen to my words, the last words I have spoken.
On that day you will judge me."
(47) If a man hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him.
Not to judge the reward, but to save the world.”
Verse 48: I will judge those who do not listen to my words.
Verse 47: If they hear my words and do not keep them... but I do not judge them, what meaning is hidden between them?
are there?
Now, God's word is being heard, and if we do not receive it, He will judge us.
But God gives us the opportunity to repent, and if we live by grace and live by faith, He will save us.
With God's waiting, we can stand in God's class of salvation today.
God's will does not presuppose judgment, but salvation.
If you reject it and live with your own selfishness and prejudice, you will be judged, but those who wait patiently and keep the faith
He grants salvation to people.
And what do we live by faith?
3. It means to live while enjoying eternal life.
“(50) I know that his commandment is eternal life; therefore what I speak is what my Father has said to me.
I speak as God said.”
God always says what He says once, He says forever.
Even now, he continues to wait for the remnant and prepares the day.
“(49) I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me
I have commanded you."
The Son Jesus said what God Himself said when he sent his Son Jesus Christ to this earth.
He Himself took up the cross and accomplished our salvation.
And he wants us to enjoy the eternal life that he himself has spoken of.
This is an important meaning for us believers to live by faith.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for today and the evidence of things not seen.
Today, through faith, we gain the authority to become children of God, and it is impossible for us who believe today.
no work
The believer never dwells in darkness.
Believers must be saved and enjoy eternal life.
Everyone who believes enjoys the right to become children of God, and we who believe can please God.
All.
Therefore, only the righteous live by faith.
“(1 John 5:4) For everyone who is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world.
our faith."
“(Acts 16:31) “Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
“(Matthew 21:22) Whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive it.”
(Romans 5:1) Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, through our Lord Jesus Christ
Alas, let us enjoy peace with God."
Let's live with light in a place that is always bright.
Let's live while enjoying God's waiting grace.
Let's live with eternal life.
To live by faith means to live while enjoying all that God has given us.
