Title: Living Slowly
Today we are going to talk about cars. To drive, you need to be aware of your surroundings. You should also look at the movement of other cars around you, and make sure there are no obstacles. A number of dangerous situations can arise when the driver is obsessed with speed without paying attention to his surroundings.
You may be putting yourself at risk, but you may also incur a pitiful victim. When people get hurt, it becomes a big problem. However, we do not know how many animals, insects, or birds are killed by fast-moving cars, even non-humans.
Occasionally, you may have seen a crushed and abandoned cat, dog or wild animal on the road. Poor animals sacrificed to speed. those animals are just
He just went his own way. The animals do not know that there is a road only for cars. Because that's a rule we made unilaterally.
However, modern people need to recognize that such a phenomenon, in which human-made automobiles and animals that are powerless on the road and speed, are sacrificed can be our problem.
I'm not telling you to be careful as we can get hit by cars too. (Of course we have to be careful) We have to recognize that a speed race in which we rush to keep pace without even thinking about it can destroy ourselves.
If a person jumps too quickly and falls while looking only forward, he could be seriously injured. Also, if you only look ahead and run, you can step on and kill small creatures that are in front of you, which you have to live with.
Most modern people seem to run frantically, just like you do in a sprint. In order not to fall behind in a competitive society, you may think that it is inevitable. However, I would like to carefully suggest to the alumni.
What if our alumni who would like to engrave live a little slower and slower? Even if you run when you need to run, sometimes, instead of just looking ahead, how about living a life of walking slowly while looking around?
And what if you fall behind? Is there any absolute reason not to be left behind? What if we were a little behind? What if we send those who want to get ahead first, and then we do a bit of rearranging? What if you could raise up the creatures that were trampled on by the people who ran out, give them a hug, wash their wounds, and make them live again?
Those creatures I'm talking about here could actually be powerless little creatures that get hit and die by cars on the road. However, in order not to fall behind in the modern society that is running towards somewhere at a high speed, we may be exhausted while running together without even thinking about it, or we may fall down by being hit by something behind us.
Maybe it's our parents, brothers, or friends who are on the verge of collapse from running and running to catch a target that has fallen in front of us without even thinking about it (because if we don't catch it, we can't live in this harsh society).
Whether walking or running, it is important that the person walking on the road sees ahead. You can't walk down the street with your eyes closed. But I don't think we should just look ahead. Even if it's a little late, sometimes I think you should be able to look up. A person who occasionally looks up will have a harder time running faster than a person who only looks ahead.
But even if you can't run fast, the one looking up will see a lot of beautiful things. You will also be able to see the clouds moving. You will also be able to see clear skies. You may even see birds chirping and flying.
Such a person may not be a winner in the competition demanded by modern society. However, you will learn how to be content with a humble and simple life that enjoys sharing small breads with your neighbors. And you will enjoy the true freedom that such a life gives you.
I believe that one day the kingdom of God that the Lord has promised us will unfold before our eyes. And then, the happiness and freedom that we will enjoy, perhaps, will be that happiness, that freedom.
The text we read together today is the story of the last days our Lord tells us about. In the last days, there is judgment, at the right and left sides of our Lord, people await judgment. The Lord speaks to those on the right.
?쏞ome, you who are blessed by my Father, take possession of this kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you visited me.??
Then, those people answer. ?쏬ord, when did we see you hungry and give you something to eat, when we see you thirsty and give you something to drink, when we see you become a stranger and welcome you, when we see you naked and give you clothing, when you are sick or in prison? Did you see it???
The Lord says ?쏧 tell you the truth. As you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you did it to me.??
The Lord's story about the 'last days' shown in today's text makes us think about what the true life of a believer should be like. The life that the Lord requires of us through the text is not in how capable we live, how much we have, and how much we achieve. It depends on whether you lived without shame before the Lord, and whether you lived your life serving the neighbors you live with as if you were serving the Lord.
I will arrange the words. It seems that modern people are trying to run too fast, driven by the thought that they should not be left behind. Because of that speed, there are many creatures and people who are injured and sacrificed. What if we decided to live a little slower, slower?
