Title: Living with God (Gen. 05:21-24)
Contents In the Bible, Enoch and Noah were men who walked with God. (Genesis 5:24, 6:9) God is a God who is everywhere and is always with us. Does this mean that He did not walk with others?
It does not mean that God is always our companion, but it means that we have lost our qualifications as God's companions.
Therefore, Enoch and Noah should be interpreted to mean that they were pleasing to God as God's companions, and to walk with God is not to lead a hermit life.
They are not secluded in search of a quiet place, nor are they required to be single. Enoch received the evidence that he was pleasing to God by walking with God.
We all want to receive evidence that we are pleasing to God by walking with God all our lives.
1. What does it mean to walk with God?
“Walking with God” is in the original text (Ithharek erha elohim), and it means to walk with God. It has the meaning of “going with God”.
It is a life that puts God's will ahead of my own and follows it. He told us to save time, discern what the will of the Lord is and understand the will of the Lord (Ephesians 5:21, Romans 12:1-2).
2) It is a life led by the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit guides us into the truth and reveals spiritual things, so we will need to be guided by the Holy Spirit from time to time.
3) It is a life that pleases God while living a life of devotion.
Just as filial piety to parents is the duty of children, it is the text of man to please God.
Therefore, people of faith “whether we eat or drink or whatever we do, do it all for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31), and whether we are at home or departing, we strive to be pleasing to the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:9).
Anyone who wants to please God today
① We act by faith. ② Find and follow the will of the Lord.
③ I love the Lord's Church. ④ I love the brother of faith.
⑤He enjoys the work of the Lord. Preach the gospel.
4) It is a life of reconciliation with God and enjoying God.
Those who walk with God today first believe in the atoning blood of Jesus Christ and are reconciled to God. Through the merits of Jesus Christ, we come to God and enjoy God.
