Introduction>****************************************************
This book reveals the love relationship between God and His people, the saints, through the love between King Solomon and a woman named Shulammi. This chapter, which is the introductory part of this book, describes the conversation and appearance of two lovers in love. If we look at the contents, the first part (verses 1-7) describes the confession of love of the Shulammite woman who fell in love with King Solomon and the appearance of seeking him, and in response to the praise of the Jerusalem women for the Shulammite woman and the confession of the Shulammite woman, King Solomon It consists of the middle part where love is shown (verses 8-11) and the second part (verses 12-17) where the Shulammite woman and King Solomon praise each other.

Today, we want to receive grace by examining how God's love for humans is shown through the words of this text.
First: God's love is abundant (verse 2). Jews viewed wine as representing the blessings of life. In verse 2, the bride confesses that the bridegroom's love is better than wine. This is an indication that God's love is better than any pleasure and joy in the world. Just as mutual love is the greatest joy for young men and women who are about to get married, anyone who has discovered Christ should regard His love as the most precious thing. God gave up his only begotten Son for us, and Jesus, the only begotten Son, tore even his own body, what could be more sublime and worthy of love than this? Therefore, we must be willing and willing to give up any worldly pleasures for the sake of love with Him.
Second: God's love leads us to deeper depths (verse 4). The love between a man and a woman before marriage is mainly limited to the spiritual aspect. Through marriage, they realize the perfect love between body and soul. Furthermore, the more years you have in your marriage, the more perfect love will be. The Lord's love for us is no different. In other words, the Lord wants us to go beyond our first love (salvation) and go on to a deeper spiritual fellowship. Therefore, as the brides of Christ, we too should increase the intensity of our love for God day by day. It is necessary to put off the elementary love like spiritual infancy, to grow to the full size of Christ, and to experience perfect love.
Third: God's love values attributes over appearance (v. 5). The Shulammite woman's face was tanned because of her work in the vineyard (5a). Judging from this, the woman's other parts of the body must have been rough as well. It must have been old and worn out. Nevertheless, she praises herself as a beautiful woman. She was able to be so confident because she was confident that the groom would look down on her love and personality. In the same way, God, the bridegroom, sees the beauty of the heart, not the outside. In other words, you see faith.
Conclusion>****************************************************
In this way, God's love is sublime that cannot be compared with any other love in the world. While we were still sinners, God first loved us (1 John 4:19), so this loving relationship was formed. Therefore, we must become saints who love the Lord with zeal and one heart. Amen
