Title (II) Longing for the Lord (Psalm 73:25~28)

Contents

Continuing from the previous hour, I will testify about the reasons for longing for the Lord. If you live longing for the Lord, you will receive the grace of sanctification of the body and the temple of the body.

“It is because God’s children and citizens of the kingdom of heaven have been given the grace of the fifth redemption”

① As the descendants of the first Adam who sinned, we all fell into eternal destruction without any hope because of sin, death, curses, and slavery to the devil (Ephesians 2:1~9) ② Most holy and pure, things pertaining to sin and unrighteousness The Lord who is not enough but is the light, the source of life for all things, who made all things in heaven and earth, full of grace and truth, came to this world to save us in the form of a human being, and finally died on the cross from sin and unrighteousness. In order to solve the problem of enemies, he received the penalty of sacrifice by dying on the cross as an “agent” and “a sacrifice of great friendship”, so that the grace of redemption of “forgiveness”, “justification” and “reconciliation” was applied to the innocent, the righteous, We must long for the Lord because He made us people of reconciliation, gave us eternal life, and made them the people of the kingdom of heaven who will inherit the kingdom of God, children of God (Romans 3:22-24, 5:10, 8:1-2)

“Because he is the strongest in the sixth heaven”

① Our Lord is a strong person, so we must long for the Lord because He is the greatest person who created and sovereignly governs all things in the heavens and the earth. ② In other words, He is the greatest (Nehemiah 4:14), the Lord is the strongest (Rev 18:8), He is the Creator of all things in heaven and in the heavens (John 1:3), He is in control of all that He has created (Acts 17:24) ~26) and all things in heaven and under heaven belong to the Lord (Psalm 50:10-12) ③ Those who sail through the Pacific will admire “the Pacific Ocean is wide”, but no matter how wide the Pacific Ocean is, it is only a tenth of that of the Earth. And even if the earth is large, it is nothing compared to the sun, and no matter how large the sun is, it is nothing compared to the universe. ④ Because he is the great One who created all these things and has sovereignty over the past, present, and eternity, we must long for it.

“Because you are the creator and owner of all things under the seventh heaven”

① The Lord is the Lord of all things, and everything in the mountains and plants, everything in outer space, the mass of the earth, humans under the heavens, and everything in the universe and the spiritual realm belongs to the Lord. ② The Lord runs and manages all these things, big and small, alone. There are countless stars in the sky, but we should long for it because he is the one who manages it in an orderly manner so that there is no collision. ③ In Matthew 10:29-30, “Not a sparrow shall fall to the ground unless your Father permits it. To you, even the hairs of your head are all numbered.” In 1 Samuel 2:6-7, “The Lord kills and makes alive.” and brings it down to the grave, and brings it up. The Lord makes the poor rich, and he humbles and exalts.” ④ When this Lord says to come, no one can resist him, so we must long for it.

“For he is the one who judges and recompenses all things righteously.”

① We should long for the Lord because the Lord carefully examines the actions of all things and judges them without any injustice or complaints and gives eternal retribution. ② In 2 Timothy 4:1, it says, “Christ Jesus is the one who will judge before God and the living and the dead.” In 2 Chronicles 19:7, “The Lord our God is neither unrighteous nor partial, nor accepts bribes.” “You must long for the Lord because He will judge and repay you with justice. ③ If you yearn for the Lord, the Lord will protect you, guide you, be with you, and bless you, so that you can be glorified by transforming yourself into a perfect person of God who can do all good.
