Title: See the Birds in the Air
Jesus says:
“Look at the birds in the air! They neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, but your heavenly Father feeds them, are you not more precious than these?”
Jesus commands us to see.
It is very important to see.
So what does it mean to see?
Watching TV and reading a book are the same in terms of watching, but there is a big difference. Watching TV is passive watching. It is something that the viewer sees automatically without any effort. But reading a book is not what it seems. must try to see.
What Jesus says to see is not just to see.
Watch and learn.
'Learning' means 'awakening', and 'awakening' means 'opening your eyes'.
It's about opening your eyes and seeing things you didn't know before.
Yehwa - I need to stop picking it up
When we returned to Korea after a few years of living in Africa, we had only two bags of clothes and a few books to change into immediately. Even though he insisted that it wasn't something he couldn't eat, his face turned black from the scorching sun, his wife cut her own hair in the 60's at home because there was no barber shop, and both young and old, skinny and skinny... When our mother met us at the airport, she burst into tears as soon as she saw us.
In any case, we started living in our homeland again like that, and we don't want to make it difficult for our parents who paid the monthly rent deposit, even though it was small, during difficult circumstances. I started over from the beginning in the middle.
Korea is a very rich country. Among the items that are thrown away with a waste sticker in the apartment, from refrigerators, washing machines, microwaves, and many other household appliances in the closet… I was throwing away things I couldn't even imagine in Africa.
So closets, chests of drawers, desks, refrigerators… So I scooped it up and wrote it. The TV was not of interest to me in the first place, but even though I was told not to do it, the members of the church I was assigned to buy a new one, asking 'How do you live without a TV', so I quickly bought it (even though it's been over ten years, it's still like new. And we It's a house that doesn't turn on and pays a viewing fee). As the years passed, the households gradually filled up like that.
It was a few days ago. I was walking down the street with my wife, and when I tried to pick up something shiny, she said in a low voice, "Honey, I hope you don't pick it up anymore." I always take a step back and pick up the thing in question.
“Is this a coin? Aren't you looking for money?"
While fiddling with the small 100 won coin in the pocket I picked up, I ponder for a moment whether I should be grateful for living well enough that I can no longer pick it up (?), or whether I should awaken the forgetfulness of forgetting the difficult times.
Anyway, I think I should stop picking it up now. Because my wife hates it... ♣<Daeyeon Hwang, -The article posted on the Sun and Moon website has been moved.>
Jesus looks at the gathered people and tells them to see something.
It means to try hard for something and to wake up there.
But I'm not telling you to see something huge.
He tells you to look around you.
“Look at the birds flying in the sky, look at the lilies in the field.”
“Take a close look at them,” he says.
But what Jesus is ultimately talking about is not only seeing the birds and lilies, but also seeing himself.
So, in today's text, Jesus says, "Aren't you more precious than these?"
When you look at birds and lilies, you discover yourself.
It's about realizing how valuable you are.
♣ Don't worry
Because it is God who gives life to people and a body to contain that life, my life and body are maintained according to His will. However, because they do not know or are unaware of the God who created the body and the source of life, people are worried about the food to sustain life or the clothes to cover the body. The appearance of the people at that time that Jesus saw and the appearance of most ordinary people today seem to be similar.
However, these days, the economy has improved a bit, and the types of concerns have changed, but the basic attitude is the same. That is, they may not have to worry about food and clothing, but they do suffer from all kinds of worries while living in this world. Believers who believe in the Lord are no exception.
I myself am not much different. However, we should know that worrying about our own problems is an expression of our unbelief in the living God. We must remember that being a saint is not only in our confession of faith, but also in our attitude in life.
The birds in the sky and the lilies blooming in the field make us realize how precious we are now alive.
And it tells you what you should pursue and what kind of life is truly worth living.
When you look at what Jesus is saying, it sounds like you shouldn't do anything.
But that's not it.
Do not seek vain things.
Don't dwell on unnecessary things.
It is not to be restless in pursuit of such vain things.
There is something else we need to pursue. It is to create a righteous world.
It is to create a beautiful world.
In order to do that, you must get rid of vain greed and live your life seriously.
Flying birds do not just play leisurely.
They flap their wings vigorously and fly with all their might.
Yehwa - Heavenly Wisdom for Parents
At some point, Sigmund Freud said.
"Being a good parent is an impossible job, no matter how good the environment."
Parents need the wisdom of heaven, and that alone enables them to share and understand the difficulties their children face.
The most important factor that melts into the lives of their children is the exemplary life parents show their children.
It is the influence of family life on children.
A girl from a Christian family went to college.
She received several letters from her parents,
The letter always contained a parent's caring interest for their child.
In a letter to her parents, she wrote:
“You don’t have to worry that I will fall into a sinful way.
God has forgiven us all our sins through Christ's death on the cross and made us clean from our sins.
And he gave us the blessing of becoming children of God by believing in Jesus.
The Lord speaks to us who are children of God. “Don’t worry”
We must never forget the love of God who values us more than the birds of the air and more than the lilies of the field.
The God who loves us protects us and always guides us to be strong.
I hope that you will always rejoice and give thanks in God's love, and become believers who walk with the Lord.
