Title: Lot's Unchanged Faith/Genesis 13:5-13
word for content
Everyone! Would you consider a plant man to be a human? Or will you see him as dead? This is a satire of modern Christians. The current situation is that people who have the title of Christian but are not Christians at all are so proud of their lives. Only in the church are those who are Christians vegetative.
We illuminate Abraham's journey of faith with the focus of faith. But today, I want to observe a person named Lot, who is involved in Abraham's faith journey and has a completely different form of faith from Abraham.
Lot's actions revealed in verse 10 show his selfishness. In some ways, Lot's behavior, even though he has lived with his younger father Abram for a long time, is abhorrent, when he gives him an opportunity to make a choice, he takes advantage of it without delay. However, what the evangelist felt during this holiday was the fact that he had a terrible selfishness in me as well. First of all, it's noisy because there are many families together, and it's annoying because there are a lot of younger siblings, and it's for some reason.
It was nice to see the relatives I had been meeting for so long, but on the other hand, I also had this kind of selfishness. Shouldn't we be able to look inside ourselves while looking at Lot's selfish choices?
Evangelist also played billiards and bowling while spending this holiday, and played with his mind. But it was the fact that the feelings I felt at night were futile. Nevertheless, the identification with Lot is because he thought that Lot chose the Jordan land and went to a place that looked good and that the evangelist was a little loosely immersed in the game culture under the guise of hanging out with his family. If your values change, your appearance will inevitably change.
Genesis 19:1 states that Lot sat at the gate of Sodom. Lot became a recognized retainer in the city of Sodom. At that time, the person at the gate was the elder who handled the people's trials and complaints. It already means that the gospel is corrupted for believers to enter a land where sin is pervasive and to be mixed there without encountering conflict and persecution or leaving it. Perhaps, in Lot's faith, it was considered a blessing from God.
Let's summarize. In Lot's fleeting selection, we could see a lot of things. We must examine our selfishness and greed and our godly life. Aren't I a broken stone that rolls down when stones and rice are combined? Are clear values established?
Aren't I just a waste of time when I attend other people's worship services without thinking, and where others pray and praise others? Q.T Shouldn't you be working hard? Only faith based on the Word can become an unshakable house. We must strengthen our faith by reflecting ourselves in the mirror of the Word every day. ( * )
