Love (Song 8)
I believe that all of you who have been with us are those who sincerely respond to the Lord's command to become light and salt.
Today’s text, verses 1-4, explain the proper duty of saints who are spiritual brides who long for Christ through the Word, and through verses 6-7, what are the characteristics of Christ’s love, and after verse 8, the most We are talking about the attitude we should have when we have received the gift of good love.
1. The bride's right to the groom
(1) You must receive it into yourself.
First, verse 2 says, “I will bring you into my mother’s house…”
It means that they are willing to welcome the groom into their place of life. In other words, the attitude of the bride toward the groom is to welcome him into the center of his life and to acknowledge his authority. If this is not the case, it is the same as not taking the bridegroom, Jesus Christ, at the center of their hearts and lives.
(2) You must be instructed and obey.
And the second half of verse 2, “I must have learned a lesson from you,” means that as a bride, obedience is to humbly accept the groom’s lesson and follow his instructions. This means that if you are a true Christian, you should strive to receive the teachings of the Bible, the word of the Lord.
(3) You must give the best.
And look at the second half of verse 2. He said, “A fragrant drink, that is, pomegranate juice.”
This is to say that the duty of the bride is to give the groom the best things he has to give him joy and joy. In the same way, we, the spiritual bridegroom and bride of Jesus Christ, should not leave Christ behind in our own lives, but have Christ in our hearts and give Him the most precious thing.
Dear saints!
The writer of James said that faith without works is dead faith (James 5:7). Blessed be all of you who receive praise and honor from the groom, Jesus Christ, by practicing the law.
2. Characteristics of a genuine person
Everyone! love...! What is true love like?
If we look through verses 6-7 of today's text, "...Love is as strong as death... The fire of love is not quenched even if it pours a lot of water. This love is so precious that even if you try to exchange it for this love by giving all this extra money, you will be despised.
So, what if you and I had this kind of love?
Let's look at verse 10. “I am a wall, and my breasts are like a tower; therefore, in his eyes I am like a peacemaker.”
“He who finds peace in his sight” means here
As the bride of King Solomon, it can be said that he refers to Shulammi himself, who received the utmost love and favor from him. This is because God loves us so much that He endured even in the midst of our scarlet sins, and instead gave us our sinful identity as the bridegroom, Jesus Christ, so that we could be given a new, born-again identity. It is you and me who made this life possible.
That is why the writer of James said, “In order for the farmer to obtain precious fruit from the land, he must know how to wait for the early rain and the latter rain.” (James 5:7). As such, if you and I have such a precious love, we will have a ‘long-suffering’ character.
Also, if there is this kind of love between you and me... let's look at verse 11. “Solomon had a vineyard in Baal-Hamon, and he left it with the keepers, and he made each of them offer a thousand pieces of silver for their fruit. Likewise, a Shulammite woman has her own beautiful beauty and heart that makes her husband Solomon's heart happy.
In other words, this woman has a heart that does not envy, a meekness that does not envy and does not envy, and a humble heart.
That's why Proverbs 17:9 says, "He who covers a transgression seeks love. As I said, “He who repeats it over and over again separates close friends.” If we have such a precious love, I believe that you and I will surely have Jesus-like meekness and humility in our hearts.
Dear saints!
Do you not want to live as a Christian without being swayed by certain things or beings?
Also, don't you want to keep your faith strong in the face of any persecution or temptation and setbacks?
Then love God with all your heart.
At that time, he will pour out the love of God that neither death nor fire can separate.
Let's read verse 14 together. “My darling... you shall run fast. Be like a roe deer in fragrant flesh, like a young deer.”
Let's say hello to the people in front and behind us.
“God loves you”
.... I hope the rest of the month ends well and that your life will be reversed.”
And now he puts his hand on his chest and calls out his name... For example, “John! God loves you so much
you did You must have shown a life of reversal. ....
Now, shall we do it together? “John! God loves you so much You must have shown a life of reversal. ....
I will pray.
God of love! Thank you for loving us.
When we pray, please allow us to bless you so that even one more person can share this love.
Also, grant us the grace of temperance that we can endure and endure.
Please allow me to always be humble and meek... so that I can bear the fruit of love.
We prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, who works together for good. Amen Byun Yohan
