Title: Love and Judgment/John 3:17-21

Content Love and Judgment

Text John 3:17-21

(John 3:17) For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through him (John 3:18) Whoever believes in him will not be judged, and whoever does not believe in him will not be judged. (John 3:19) And this is the condemnation, that light has come into the world, but men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil (John 3). (John 3:21) Everyone who does evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds be exposed (John 3:21) Those who pursue the truth come to the light, so that their deeds may be shown that they have been done in God.

Confirmation of God's Love

(John 3:16) God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

How much God loves us, the only begotten Son of God

He was sent for our sins.

In other words, to save us

It says that Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, was crucified.

But there are conditions here.

Not everyone in this world will be saved

for everyone who believes in me

Only those who believe in Jesus can be saved.

Belief is a really important condition here.

3 conditions of faith

1. Knowing Who God Is

(The Creator of Heaven and Earth, the Almighty, the Righteous One, the Loving One)

2. You must have a heart to love Him.

3. When we have a heart to trust and depend on God, correct faith is established.

Abraham --- Offers his only son, Isaac, to God.

(Genesis 22:2) Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, says the LORD, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on a mountain as far as I will show you.

Abraham obeyed this command because he loved God more than Isaac.

David Defeats Goliath the Philistine

David was a shepherd.

My brothers went to run an errand for lunch (the youngest of 8 brothers)

A Philistine general named Goliath insulted God.

he's a giant

* Height of 6 cubits and one span ---- About 2m90cm

* Shekels are silver spear blades ( six hundred shekels - 8 kg )

Armor ( 5,000 shekels --60kg )

David couldn't stand Goliath blaspheming God.

I picked 5 slingstones and went out to defeat Goliath.

(1 Samuel 17:45) David said to the Philistines, "You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have insulted. (1 Samuel 17:46) Today the LORD I will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and cut off your head, and I will give the corpses of the Philistines to the birds of the air and to the wild beasts of the earth today, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel (1 Samuel 17:47). I will let this crowd know that it is not with swords and spears. The battle belongs to the LORD, and he will deliver you into our hands.

David trusted God completely.

He went out and fought against the great giant Goliath and won.

Believe and not believe are very simple things, but depending on whether you believe or not, the results are completely different.

Because Jesus died on the cross to be judged on our behalf. Therefore, those who believe in and accept Jesus do not need to be judged because Jesus took up the cross for us. For there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ.

But for those who do not believe, there is judgment, and they have already been judged because they do not believe in the name of the only begotten Son of God. He said that the cause of judgment was not believing.

Why are you judged? Just because I don't believe it.

Here's a big disappointment because I didn't believe it.

In August 1945, the United States sent an airplane over Hiroshima.

A squadron of planes appeared over Hiroshima.

A group of flyers were scattered over Hiroshima.

Hiroshima citizens until August 6 at 00:00 a.m.

Evacuate 50 li

atomic bomb

More than 300,000 lives and property were lost.

At this time, those who believed this warning and evacuated survived.

All those who ignored this warning and did not believe were killed.

Here's a more frightening warning than the Hiroshima warning.

(John 3:16) God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

whoever believes in Jesus Christ will be saved,

If you do not believe in Jesus, you will perish.

he goes to hell

In a fire that never goes out

You will not die, you will be tormented in the fire.

There are too many warnings.

Today we are going to talk about God's great love and God's judgment.

I knew.

I don't know how great a blessing it is for us to believe in Jesus.

So we thank God

We must keep our faith strong.

How to keep your faith

Attending the worship service without fail.

It's a good way to keep the week.

I love the word of God and read the Bible diligently

It is to pray fervently day and night.

Now, all the saints who attended the worship service today

Everyone keep the faith

I hope you all enjoy the precious blessing of going to heaven.
