Love is the fulfillment of the law
Romans 13:8 Do not owe anyone except to love one another. He who loves others has fulfilled the law.
As Christians, it is best not to be indebted to others as much as possible. Therefore, you should avoid being in debt from others as much as possible. However, it is said that the debt of love can be borne.
We are debtors of love from our Heavenly Father and Christ our Lord. We are also indebted to the love of those who worked hard to share the gospel with us and to the countless hands of love. We need to know that the love, hard work, and sacrifice of countless people have been given to us up to this day when one person believed in Jesus.
The heart of all commandments in the Old and New Testaments is love. All the commandments are commandments to achieve love. Therefore, the apostle Paul said in Romans 13:9, “You shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not covet.” ” is what he says.
For example, what happens if we break the commandment, “You shall not commit adultery”? It is an act of throwing away one's married spouse. It corrupts the love of one's children, and it also brings shame to them. Also, since you are doing something that is detestable to God, it is also an act of betrayal of God, who has commanded you not to commit adultery. Those who are before marriage must maintain sexual purity, and those who are already married must maintain marital purity. Maintaining premarital chastity is love for the spouse you will marry, and marital chastity is keeping love for your spouse who is already married to you. However, if you do not keep this purity, you are breaking pure love.
Also, what happens if we break the commandment ‘You shall not murder’? The commandment, “Thou shalt not kill,” includes acts of violence, as Jesus taught, that despise, swear, or ridicule others with words. If a malicious comment was posted on the Internet and the person responsible for it was deeply wounded and even committed suicide, the person who posted the malicious comment is also guilty of murder. Sexual harassment or assault is also an act of trampling on the other person's personality and can be considered a murderous act.
Covetous is the sin of the heart. But, in fact, theft or murder, in the beginning, started with greed or hatred of the heart. However, when the sin of such a thought materializes in reality, it becomes murder or theft. Therefore, we must know that the root of the most terrible and greatest sin is the greed of the heart.
The Apostle Paul says in Romans 13:10, “Love does no evil to its neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.” Those who love people and love God can never commit murder, adultery, theft, lying, or greed.
Love and law are inseparable from each other. If you want to love, you have to keep the law well, and if you want to keep the law well, you need to have a heart of love.
If we love God, we must keep His commandments.
If we keep God's commandments, we will love. But if we do not know God and His commandments, we cannot know true love. You cannot practice true love while worshiping idols. Because if you do not know the basis of true love, that is, the truth, you cannot know what true love is. How can we know true righteousness without knowing the God who made us and rules our destiny, his creation, and his will?
The kingdom of God is a country of mutual love. God has predestined a nation full of love for His people and a nation full of love for one another from before the foundation of the world, and He calls our lives. Therefore, I am allowing those who believe and obey me to enter the kingdom of God.
Jesus Christ set the example of that love. The cross is the best expression of God's love. God first loved our lives. Although God is an almighty God, he knew well that love involves self-sacrifice. Therefore, God designed the love of the cross from the beginning in order to make our lives into people of perfect love just like Him.
Let's only love and live God. And let's live by loving all our neighbors who have been given to love each other. Here is God's purpose for saving us, eternal life, and blessings.
