Title: Love of Israel
Now the main concern of Isaiah's prophecy is the judgment through Assyria in the destruction of proud Assyria.
It is returned to the remnant of those who greatly realize and repent.
In particular, it is prophesied that those who repent will return without being destroyed forever.
The fall of Israel in 722 BC and the fall of Judah in 596 BC, about 150 years later, were combined.
A historical fulfillment was achieved when the remnant of all Israel returned to Babylon.
God's interest in Israel is for them to repent and be saved.
1. Even those who know God well can forget God.
The people of Israel have learned a lot about God from time immemorial and were educated to write deeply about God's geography. But they ungratefully forsook God and put their trust in Assyria.
So God had them attack Israel.
2. It turns out that every refuge in this world is unstable.
“Israel became dependent on Assyria,” and thus became dependent on his own.
And those who trusted and trusted became clubs against them.
This is in line with the saying that the instep is cut by the ax of faith.
Therefore, in this world, no human being or any force can be trusted.
3. God is waiting for his people to return.
“The remnant will return to the mighty God.”
(Isaiah 10:21) The remnant, the remnant of Jacob, shall return to the mighty God.
God is looking forward to the return of His suffering people.
A life that responds to these expectations and calls will be saved.
4. Cause of God's Judgment
1) Disobedience. - About the Word / About the Covenant / About the Mission /
It comes from Satan's temptation or human greed.
2) Because of idolatry. - Impersonal / Stupid / Servant of Satan
3) Ignoring warnings. - People of Noah's Day / People of Sodom and Gomorrah /
We must always listen to the voice of God.
