Sermons for Preaching

Title: Love of Judah (Genesis 43:1-10)

Judas was the one who sold Joseph to the Midianites when he was sold to 10 brothers. I put on the love of Jesus on the cross. Jesus was born from the tribe of Judah out of the 12 tribes of Israel based on his love for Benjamin, a child of Judah.

May 5th is Children's Day. I hope that the grace of loving a child will come into your life just as Judas loved Benjamin, and that Jesus Christ will be with you so that the heavenly blessings Judas received will come to you.

1. When Judah loved Benjamin, he loved him from the perspective of his father Jacob.

1) The brothers hated and envied Joseph when he boasted of his dreams, wore colored clothes, and was favored.

2) As the years passed and he got older, he understood the love of his father. Judas was not the eldest son because he knew the heart of his father, but he sacrificed himself to take responsibility for Benjamin.

3) If you know the love of God, you can love Jesus Christ and love your neighbor as if you were a child.

2. Judas loved young Benjamin with the love of Jesus Christ, who sacrificed his body for the cross.

1) Judas gave up his body for his father and young Benjamin more sacrificially than other brothers.

2) Judas' sacrificial love for Benjamin refers to the love of the cross that Jesus sacrificed for us.

3) Love for children must be expressed through the love of the cross. If it is not the love of the cross, it is false love, so God gave suffering to the brothers through Joseph.

3. Judah's love for Benjamin is his love for a child who protects the weak.

1) The love of Christ is the love that protects the weak. Jesus loves the sick, the poor, the lonely, the widows and orphans who cannot live alone.

2) A child is a weak vessel. He is sensitive and has a weak heart that is not even perfected personally. Therefore, Jacob made Benjamin stay at home and only the other brothers sent to Aegum to buy grain.

4. Jesus tolerated, acknowledged, and blessed children coming near.

1) The disciples only scolded him because he was making a fuss about not coming soon, but Jesus came close and hugged him.

2) Jesus acknowledged a child. He told his disciples to be humble like a child, to humble oneself and to be pure and innocent.

3) Jesus, who did not lay his hands on his disciples, laid his hands on children one by one.

(Conclusion) Just as the love of Jesus came to Judas and moved Joseph's heart, I hope that you too, like Judas, live with the love of Jesus and live a life that moves God's heart. Helping and loving the weak is Jesus' love. is the heart of Jesus.

Jesus Christ came in the human body
