Title: Love the Lord (Proverbs 3:5-6)

One of the most important factors to keep in mind as we live the life of a believer is that we must trust in the Lord. The whole lesson of Proverbs also emphasizes the fact that those who trust in the Lord are blessed.

We humans were created to depend on the Lord from the time of creation. Then God will bless you. But the problem is that people ignore these rules and go their own way rather than relying on God. Denying ourselves and relying on God is the most important thing in our human affairs.

So, I hope that this time will be a blessed time to seek God's grace while meditating on what we need to rely on in the Lord, centering on the words of the text.

##### 1. We must respect God.

Verse 5...<Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.> Relying on God is a blessing. If we depend only on God, we are meant to live. However, we must confess that it is not always easy for us to say that we completely depend on God alone. But as saints, we will have to depend only on God.

So, how can we specifically depend on God?

**** 1) First, we must throw away the trust in our people.

Verse 5 of today's text presupposes the words <Do not rely on your own understanding>. To depend on God, we must not rely on our understanding. Therefore, we should be able to speak on the premise that those who depend on God do not depend on ourselves.

However, most people fall while trying to rely on our understanding. Even if a person is wise, how wise would he be? Even if a person is literate, how well will he be? We should be able to find ourselves before God. What can we boast about before God, who is numbered even the hairs of our heads?

We humans are humble

We humans are humble.

We humans are weak.

We humans are stupid.

Those who realize this can rely on God. I hope it will be a time to realize and discover our shortcomings. Only after that, we will discover that we can depend on God, and I hope that you will live a blessed life in which we entrust everything we have to God.

**** 2) You can love God only when you know God rightly.

Let's say we are traveling in Africa, for example. However, if we say we do not know the geography of the place, we must be guided by a tour guide, that is, a person who guides the tour. He knows the geography of Africa there, so we can trust him and follow him. In other words, with the help and guidance of someone who knows the geography of the place, it is possible to have an effortless and enjoyable trip.

The same is true of our relationship with God. Knowing God is the most important thing in order to serve and trust God rightly.

So Psalm 9:10...<He who knows your name, O LORD, will trust in you...>. Those who know God trust in you. It sounds like common sense, but those who know God depend on God, and those who do not know God cannot depend on God. Therefore, we must do our best to know God.

So what does it mean to know God?

1)... Knowing God through self-discipline.

2) Knowing God through ...特別啓示.

3)...Most importantly, we must be able to confess God through our faith.

---Theology also deals with <divineism> first.

**** 3) You must love God with all your heart.

Verse 5...<Trust in the LORD with all your heart...>. To love with all your heart means to love, so it is important to know God and then to love Him. This is a sign of total trust in God. This is a holistic attitude.

<With all your heart..> ---Literally meaning---It means <with all your heart>.

Active rather than passive.

The whole person, not a part of the personality.

attitude to give the best.

Central, not external.

An attitude of complete trust without worry.

We need this <attitude with all our hearts>.

Yes....for those who truly believe

**** 4) You must trust God in the things you do.

Verse 6...< Acknowledge him in everything you do. > said. This is a very graceful expression. <In all things..> --- This word means <In all the ways of life>.

Pan --- Hebrew --- Bekol --- means <all>

sa --- Hebrew --- terakeka --- means road, road, sometimes knowledge.

It means that we must acknowledge God in every path we must walk in our lives. But we believers are not like that. When our life seems to be going well and there are no special difficulties, it seems that we acknowledge God, but when it is a little difficult and difficult, we do not want to acknowledge God, but rather distrust God and lose our hearts to idols of the world. So, I try to do points and do good things. But it is wrong.

Saints!

He was asked to acknowledge him in all circumstances. It means acknowledging God in everything, obeying His will, and living with thanksgiving. That's why the word <acknowledgment> here --- Yes! It should be a confession of faith, not an intellectual acknowledgment that there is a God!

Therefore, theologian Delitzsch explains the word <acknowledge> in the text and explains that it is not theoretical knowledge, but knowing God with all your heart. May we live a life that acknowledges God in everything we do. We hope that you will live a beautiful life that trusts God in all things with faith in the providence of God in all areas of our lives.

##### 2. Blessings received by those who respect God

Verse 6b...< Then he will direct your way.>

He said that if we realize human shortcomings, know God rightly, serve God with all our heart, and acknowledge Him in everything, God will bless us and guide our way.

In fact, it is. Only when we realize our shortcomings and seek God's help will God's hand of guidance come upon us. The proud need no help. no help either However, he is fully aware of his shortcomings and is helping those who are eager to help.

So there can be no greater blessing than the fact that we are led by God. Because when God guides us, we can enjoy true happiness. When God guides us, we have true satisfaction without lack.

Psalm 23:1-3...< The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not lack. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside still waters.>

God is our shepherd. We are his sheep. That is, we are God's people who are led by God. Because we are like that, we have no shortcomings. God is guiding us, what are we afraid of and what are we missing? What is lacking when the Lord leads us to lie down in green pastures and to still waters? Those who trust in the Lord are destined to receive this blessing.

I hope that all the saints who belong to this altar will have a blessed life this year under God's guidance without lack. To that end, I pray in the name of the Lord that you will become a beautiful and precious life that you live by relying entirely on God and entrusting everything to God. -Amen-
