Title: Love the Poor and Strive to Help
Love the poor and try to help them
Text: 1 Timothy 6:18
“Do good, do good deeds a lot, and be generous with sharing.”
It's from Hermann Hesse's "One Wish". An old man came to a woman who had just given birth and asked a question.
“What kind of child do you want your child to grow up to be?”
“Please let me grow up only being loved by everyone.”
Oddly enough, as the old man said, everyone started to love children. The child's mother was very happy to see it. However, the child's appearance was getting worse and worse. The child, who realized that everyone loved her, became more and more proud as she grew older by one or two years. Realizing that things were wrong, the mother searched hard for the old man she had met before, and finally met her.
“Please. Please cancel my old wish for my child. And let me be the one who knows how to give love, not the one who is loved.”
Not only love, but all emotions, material things, and joy, the more we share it, the greater it grows. Those who have never given to others do not understand that. Experience the joy that grows by sharing what you have.
“In everything, just as I set the example for you, you must work to help the weak and remember the Lord Jesus Himself saying, “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35).
It is the truth that it is happier to give than to receive. People who feel that they have helped others to the best of their ability are truly happy people. Virtue is not lonely. When you give a virtue, there is always a result.
Showing kindness is never in vain. Much more important than the warmth and affection we receive is the warmth and affection we give.
To love is far more important than to be loved. A warm heart meekness, love and mercy dispels fear, inspires confidence, and brings inner strength. It also brings happiness by making you feel the purpose and meaning of life.
Sharing of small people gathers to make our society a healthy and warm community. The Galilean Community is praying and practicing every day so that the kingdom and righteousness of God may be expanded to individuals, families, and society, and the love of Jesus Christ may overflow. This is because we believe that the kingdom of God will expand and the true truth and grace of God will fill our hearts when we do that. Blessed are those who care for the poor.
The Bible says
'You must give to him, and when you give alms, do not be greedy; for this the LORD your God will bless you in all that you do and in the work of your hands. Be sure to open your hand to the needy and needy of your brothers in your territory” (Deuteronomy 15:10-11).
“He who has mercy on the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his good deed” (Proverbs 19:17).
“If you scatter alms, you will become richer; if you spare too much, you will only become poor. Those who love giving will have abundance, and those who refresh others will be refreshed” (Proverbs 11:24-25)
“He who gives to the poor will never be in need, but many curses are on him who ignores him” (Proverbs 28:27).
“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world” (James 1:27).
Dear members of the Galilee Community, this year, I hope that all of you will love God more, please God, become valuable workers in the expansion of God's kingdom, and become good and faithful Christians who practice the love of Jesus.
* Prayer: Loving God, help us to be grateful for what we have and to know how to give. Do not let me turn away from my neighbors even when I see them in need, and help me to carry out my mission like a good Samaritan, help me in secret. Help those who are weaker than me in secret, comfort me, and help me live. We pray in the name of our Savior Jesus. Amen
