Title: Love the youth / Mark 5:35-43
Content: Love the youth / Mark 5:35-43
Key Verse: “He took the child by the hand and said to him, ‘Tali dagum’, which means little girl, I say to you, get up” (verse 41).
Word: The twelve-year-old daughter of Jairus, the ruler of the synagogue, fell ill and died. Jesus saved the girl. Jesus loved young people very much. The young man, the only son of the widow of Nain, told his mother not to weep, and he raised his son to life. Judging by the fact that most of the people Jesus raised from the dead were young people, you can see how much Jesus cares for them. Today's church, family, society and nation must also look at the youth through God's eyes and save them.
It is deplorable to hear that there are countless high school girls who are in aid dating after a sophomore in high school gives birth to a child and a high school 3rd grader commits suicide due to poor performance in the SAT. Who should save them?
First, parents have to step in. Seeing the great faith of the Canaanite woman who prayed for her daughter who had a demon, Jesus cast out the demon (Matthew 15:21-28). Also, seeing the faith of the father who prayed for his deaf and speechless son, He healed his son. The rogue son Augustine was made a saint through the prayers of his mother Monica. Parents should step in to save the sick and dying youth. We must nurture them with the word of God. You must set an example in your life of faith. No youth are bad from the start. There are only bad families. Therefore, parents must stand up first.
Second, trained professional workers must come forward (verse 37). When Jesus went into the room with the child to raise the girl from the dead, he did not let anyone in except the three disciples, Peter, James, and John, whom Jesus had further taught and trained. Jesus worked with those who were more learned and trained. Those who spend more time with Jesus should do the Lord's work. Because we love young people, we need youth professional ministers who can understand and approach them. The teachers in charge of the secondary school should weep and hold their souls to their hearts with the heart of Jesus. At that time, the youth will come to life by the work of the Holy Spirit.
Third, we need to see the youth as the main actors of the present. Youth who have received Jesus as their Savior and have been born again by the Holy Spirit are not dreamers of the future. It was an unknown boy who was given the favor by offering 5 loaves and 2 fish so that Jesus could do a miracle to feed 5,000 hungry people. Youth should not be ignored. We must honor them and save them. When you are a healthy youth, your country and people can develop in a healthy way.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, may our parents, teachers, and pastors all love the youth and save us. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
