Title: Love your brother (1 Peter 01:22-25)
Content The Apostle Peter begins his second exhortation in his personal life with the words of verses 22-25. The message is to love your brother.
Dear saints, Do you know why God made us believe in Jesus Christ and purify our souls? That is so that we can love our brothers without lies.
2 Timothy 3:1 2 Timothy 3:1 Know this that you will suffer in the last days, 3:2 People will love themselves, love money, be proud, proud, slander, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 :3 Heartless, unrepentant, accusing, unrestrained, ferocious, not fond of what is good, 3:4 treacherous, selling, hasty, sleeping, lovers of pleasures more than the love of God, 3:5 having a form of godliness, but not of godliness. You are the one who denies power. Turn away from such people. Because of people's selfishness, they fall into selfishness, who do not love others but only love themselves and money. The number of priests and Levites who just pass by without taking care of the man who was hit by a robber is increasing. The reality is that the number of Samaritans is declining.
As God obeys the truth through this pure life of the saint, the fragrance of Christ is revealed through the practice of the love of the saint whose soul is sanctified.
You will love your brother without lies. The love of the world may be a false love. However, the love God gives us is so precious and precious that there is no comparison. Therefore, the life of a saint who has received precious love is now to love each other without lies. And it is to love each other passionately from the heart. If the saints and the saints, their wives and husbands, and their parents and children, live without love for each other, it will be dry and the joy of life will be lost. That is why we must become saints of love who share our love with those who need it.
One-sided love is just unrequited love. You must love each other. You only give me love and I will only receive. If you do, you will not be able to love each other passionately.
We see through the Bible that a person who was forgiven a debt of 10,000 talents goes back to prison when he fails to forgive the person who owes him 100 denarii. This should not be what we are. If you still have not forgiven, please forgive and have mercy. Because we were dead in our sins and trespasses, and we were not people who did not even deserve God's love. because you did it.
Please love each other.
1:23 You were born again, not of perishable seed, but of immortal seed, by the living and abiding word of God. Verse 23 especially tells us what we are born of again. It tells us the reason for being born again and the secret to being born again. To Nicodemus who came in the middle of the night, Jesus said that unless you are born again of water and the Spirit, you cannot see the kingdom of God. Our regeneration is not from perishable seeds, but from the word of God. Through the word of God, we can know that we are sinners and need to be saved by God, and that we can become children of God and be born again through Jesus Christ. lets you know
That is why I want you to remember that it is the living and everlasting Word of God. Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, it divides even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and discerns the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
We can know through the written Word of God that we can come to God through the redemption of Jesus Christ on the cross. This is also 2 Timothy 3:16, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, for correction, for reproof, for training in righteousness.” Therefore, you will love the Bible, the word of God, more and more, and you will be convinced that it is the word of God and become a saint who will not be shaken. It will not be glorified. It cannot be called grace.
1:24 Therefore all flesh is like grass, and all its glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, <the weakness of all flesh is compared with the eternity of the word.> 1:25 But the word of the Lord is This is the gospel that has been preached to you. The season has come to realize the severity of the season. The leaves that boast a blue color will fall one by one. Although it boasts of its splendor, it withers away when the wind blows and the temperature drops. Likewise, our bodies boast of their health, but sometimes collapse or be hospitalized.
As such, the glory of humans who boast of their fragile bodies like grass will wither away, but the word of God that redeems and saves us is eternal. You don't change.
Jesus said that every jot of this law would be fulfilled before heaven and earth pass away. Therefore, there is a clear difference between the fragility of life and the eternity of the Word.
If the life of the saints was to be born again through Jesus Christ, now we are urging them to practice brotherly friendship with God's love and grace.
Now, if you have been cleansed by Jesus Christ, I hope that you will become passionate saints in loving one another. Please love each other at home, in the territory, in the church, at work.
Because they are saints who have been saved by the eternal and living Word of God.
Prayer: Living God! Thank you that we are justified before God by the blood of Christ and are now born again. Let us love you more and more.
