Title: Luke 12:22-34 / Trust in God

Contents

Luke 12:22-34 Trust in God

* He said [Do not worry about what you will eat or wear]...

& citing crows, lilies, and wild grass as examples - don't worry! / Says.

- And, / it is not a matter of eating and drinking, but [Seek first his kingdom and righteousness!]

* Through today's text / What kind of God is... What are the lessons he gives me...

& Let's think about a few things.

1. First, the words of verse 22.

* [Do not worry about what you will eat or what you will wear!] - He says.

- In a nutshell, [don't worry!!] - is.

** “What shall we eat / What shall we wear… - How will we live?”

& are fundamentally important reasons for our concern.

- Among the things we worry about in life - career problems / relationship problems / health problems,

& problems at work, etc. / There are many things...

& than those problems - a more serious problem...

& ‘What to eat / What to wear’ - It is a matter of food, clothing and shelter.

** By the way / Jesus today - don't even worry about that!! - I say.

- [Consciousness problem]? - Not worrying / is a great belief.

<Again, if you think about it differently - but still the issue of food, clothing, and shelter - Is it possible to live without worrying too much? - You don't know how great God's grace is.>

* Dear friends!

- While meditating on the Word, / in Korea, / with food, clothing and shelter issues, I have no concerns.

& today, with food, clothing and shelter issues - I was reminded of North Korea, which is suffering from hunger

<There is nothing to eat - risking their lives - residents escaping from North Korea!!>

& There was an article asking me to join the movement to send it to help North Korean children.

<Everyone! If possible, I hope that it will be me and you who can participate.>

<Even if it is not North Korea - please think of a country that is struggling with food, clothing and shelter issues>

2. Don't worry about food, clothing and shelter!! - Speaking

& gives two examples.

* First, verse 24

- [Think of the crow]

** Crow = Look at the birds in the sky!!

- “When you see birds / they don’t sow, they don’t reap, they don’t work hard…

& Does not God feed/keep all those birds?” - As he said

& “Aren’t you far more precious than the birds of the sky?” - That's what you say.

* Dear friends!

- You are a very / precious being.

- If God feeds/clothes/takes care of even a petty bird...

& Why not feed / clothe / take responsibility for you, who are incomparably precious.

3. Another thing, verse 27

* [Think of the lily]

- See the flowers blooming in the field.

- The flower // did not make a thread / and did not weave it.

& The glory of the flower is greater than any glory? - Greater than all the glory of Solomon / says

- The beauty of the flower that God put on /

& Than Solomon's glorious robe - more beautiful.

* God also beautifully clothed the lilies of the field!

& the promise that God will clothe me - and watch over me.

* And, he makes an important statement.

Verse 28

* [God will clothe the grass of the field that is today and is thrown into the furnace tomorrow. / Will he not clothe you?]

* God feeds us / today.

- Puts on / protects. / I'm looking at you / Please hold onto me!!

** Therefore, / don't worry. - Don't worry.

- Leave it all to God.

5. Then / What if we have another secret to overcoming anxiety...?

Verse 31

* [You save his kingdom!]

- First, “seeking his kingdom and righteousness!” - This is another secret to overcoming anxiety

& says so.

** [Save his country! - Seek your kingdom and righteousness!!] - What does this mean?

- What does it mean to seek the kingdom of God?

& “I risk my life for what pleases God!!” - That's what I mean.

& “Putting priority on the things that please God”

* Dear friends! / What is pleasing to God?

1) First, it is to revive the dead souls.

- To save / build up dead souls!! - This is what pleases God.

** When we prioritize this - we overcome anxiety.

* 'Don't worry! / Don't worry!' That means / Don't worry. - No.

<- That's also a passive way.>

- By the way / For the work that pleases God - If you run hard...

& without realizing it - the anxiety / has been overcome.

2) Another thing, to save his country! = What is pleasing to God?

Verse 33

* [Sell your possessions / Get relief!!!]

** What is it?

- That is to lay up treasures in the sky!!

** [Rescue! / Help!!]

- Poor person / Hungry person / Hard person / Hard person!!

& have mercy on them / help them!!

& that's what's stacking up treasures in the sky!!

* Dear friends!

- How much have you saved / in the bank of heaven?

- The money, blood, and sweat you spent on missionary work / evangelism / almsgiving today...

& It will surely be saved in heaven - Please believe.

<Cheonkuk Bank does not go bankrupt. / Heaven Bank has a very high interest rate.>

<Do not invest in banks that are less than 5% of the land / Invest in Heaven Bank. - That's what's left.>

* Not even using it at home - because it's a waste / Do you just have something piled up?

- That's a sin.

- Give it to those who need it. / Help.

6. Verse 34

* [Where there is matter, there is the mind]

- It really is.

** So / I have been holding a youth club / while I was in middle and high school...

& When I went to the retreat - I never let the children come by paying 5,000 won or 10,000 won.

- We have set the membership fee to make it feel a bit overwhelming.

** why?

- Where my treasure is / My heart follows.

<- After you invest a lot of money - you become more focused>

** In order to reach out to our evangelists more, material things must follow.

- After the material is invested / there is more affection.

- I asked. // "Why can't you leave?"

- You didn't answer.

** But I know. // - I've invested a lot in that church so far

- When building a church - (Even when it is difficult) I donate a building donation / I always tithe...

& When the church is having a hard time... he generously pours out his own money - because he pours out his love.

- So, I can't leave.

** [Where My Matter Goes - Because My Heart Goes]

* The new family I brought! - Do you want to settle down?

- Make anyone come to church - Serve / sweat.

- Let them tithe.

** Then / you can't leave.

- why? = Where my material is, there is my heart. <It's amazing>

* Dear friends!

- I know he spends his money / where his heart is - I know.

- Where your heart is - Because you're supposed to spend money.

** These days you / your money - where are you spending a lot?

& Where is the money priority now?

& Today our church finances priorities - where are they?

- That financial priority / is the vision of the church...

& that financial priority / is the person's vision.

** Today I hope / that your material - more than anything else.

& For evangelism and mission expenses that save souls / For relief expenses to serve and help others...

& flowing with priority - may you have grace - in the name of the Lord bless you.
