Title: Luke 13:10-17 You hypocrites

Contents

Luke 13:10-17 You hypocrites

Subject: 10. Commandments 2006. 9. 24.

Introduction

: One of the greatest tragedies of religion is that religion itself has taken precedence over people and their needs.

deal with this issue

1. Background: Jesus teaching in the synagogue on the Sabbath (10)

2. A woman who worships God (11-13)

3. The synagogue leader (religious person) was also a worshiper of God (14~16)

4. The ministry of Jesus and the power of His Word (17)

1. Background: Jesus teaching in the synagogue on the Sabbath (10)

One). This was the last time Jesus taught in the synagogue.

Because no synagogue allowed Jesus to come to the synagogue to teach.

2). This miracle of healing was done on the Sabbath.

Because healing was regarded as work when it was not a matter of life and death, Jesus did not break the Sabbath law.

The breakup is the reason this debate has arisen.

3). Both the woman and the synagogue leader were worshipers of God.

The “woman” found a way to approach God in order to receive salvation through worship.

“The ruler of the synagogue” was only conducting ceremonies and ordinances.

2. A woman who worships God (11-13)

One). The woman was praying.

Her life was to worship and seek the face of God to take care of her life. therefore

I was able to receive a very special God's care.

Why did God look back on her?

Because he was faithful and faithful to seeking God and His care on a continual basis.

2). She was a person with a curved spine.

A person who has been ill for 18 years and has become deformed.

①She was suffering from “the evil spirit of disease”.

* “Daughter of Abraham” bound by Satan (16)

②Nevertheless, they worshiped God.

* Worship God and seek grace and help.

3). He was discovered and called by Jesus.

He knew all the great sacrifices she made to worship.

* The heart of the Lord moves with mercy.

She did not need to cry out to the Lord for help. Jesus called her to Himself.

4). She received the word of Jesus and the laying on of hands.

He called “to Him”. She had to answer the call.

* I had to move on my own. Upon obedience, Jesus brought him “good news.”

“Woman, you are set free from your sickness.” Jesus stretched out his hand and laid his hands on her.

She “straightened out” and glorified God.

She experienced both the words of Jesus and the power of the laying on of hands.

* Because they obeyed the Lord's call, worshiped, and sought grace and care.

5). First she glorified God.

It was opened “immediately” and glorified God.

3. The synagogue leader (religious person) was also a worshiper of God (14~16)

As the head of the synagogue (Matthew 4:23, 9:18-19), the synagogue leader sought God through ordinances and rules, formalities and ceremonies. * The woman sought God through need and trust.

4 mistakes made by religious people.

One). The synagogue leader was angry with the people.

People were just asking for help in a desperate situation, and the synagogue leader knew it.

But the ruler of the synagogue was very angry because he was different from them.

2). The synagogue leader misunderstood God's law (the Sabbath) and misunderstood it.

He thought in his heart that Jesus had committed a serious sin (healing on the Sabbath).

3). The synagogue leader did not acknowledge the Messiah, the Son of God, standing right before him.

(See Romans 11:28-29; 1 Thessalonians 2:15-16.)

4). The ruler of the synagogue was a hypocrite (a hypocrite). (A mistake due to deletion or addition of the Word)

He placed the religious regulations created by animals and humans above people (Excluding the Word).

He valued traditions, ordinances, traditions and rituals more important than meeting the basic needs of human life (need to seek God, physical and spiritual needs, spiritual help, etc.).

Religious critics of Jesus were serious.

①The woman was “Abraham’s daughter” and was a faithful believer in God.

②The woman had a spiritual need. She was bound by Satan.

③The woman had been suffering for eighteen years.

The law of the Sabbath - Jesus committed the sin of “breaking the law of the Sabbath” (working on the Sabbath).

Various regulations were continuously added to restrict behavior on the Sabbath.

Unless it is a matter of life and death, people travel on the Sabbath, fast, cook, buy, sell, fetch water, walk long distances over a certain distance, lift something, or go to war. Not only could they not fight, they could not even heal unless their lives were in jeopardy. I couldn't even plan any work or action at that time. A good example of people's allegiance and legal restrictions in this regard is the women who witnessed the death of Jesus on the cross. Despite their great love for Jesus, they did not go to Jesus' tomb to anoint His body until the Sabbath was over. (Mark 16:1 or less, Matthew 28:1 or less)

4. The ministry of Jesus and the power of His Word (17)

The work of Jesus and the power of His Word,

① He put to shame those who opposed him,

②It was a great joy for those who received him.
