Title: Luke 04:18 Set me free
Contents Luke 4:18, John 8:3
Eisenhower, the 34th president of the United States, received a report from a faculty member when he was the dean of Columbia University that students should be disciplined in bulk. It was said that the students entered the lawn with a 'No Entry' sign. Eisenhower went to the lawn himself and found that the students had to travel a considerable distance if they did not cross the lawn. He removed the signage and made a path for the students to walk freely.
Everyone wants freedom and doesn't want to live in bondage. As the Apostle Paul said, "No one of us lives for himself, and no one dies for himself; for whether we live or die, it is the Lord's" (Romans 14:7-8). .
Man must first of all need freedom of faith. It is only Jesus Christ who gives true freedom and true happiness. Jesus calls everyone to come and seeks them. “The Spirit and the Bride say, 'Come.' He who hears will say, 'Come,' and he who thirsts will come, and whoever wants, let him receive the water of life free of charge” (Revelation 22:17) . “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden” (Revelation 22:17). I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). “Come, you who thirst, and those who have no money” (Isaiah 55:1-5).
Jesus Christ gives freedom from poverty, freedom from sickness, freedom from political oppression, freedom from Satan, freedom from many things. Rather, it is freedom from sin and death that every human being must be free. “The penalty for sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Freedom from sin and death is only through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross to atone for human sin, and freed everyone who believes in Him from sin. Therefore, man must confess his sin and accept Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ set us free from death. He died, rose again the third day, ascended into heaven, and became the Lord of life. Jesus lives forever, becomes the Lord of life, and as the Son of God (Romans 1:4), he is the Savior and God of those who believe. He is the Lord of the kingdom of God. Jesus Christ promised the kingdom (John 14:1 2) and prepared it for those who believe, so I hope it will be a life of walking with God and a life of hope. Rise, overflow, set everyone free. I hope it will be a life of the glory of God only (1 Timothy 1:17).
