Title: Mad Saint
Bible: 2 Corinthians 5:13-19
Starting Point of the Word>>
This time, we will share the title of “Crazy Saints” together.
The apostle Paul said to the Corinthians through the words of verse 13 at the beginning of the text,
“If we are crazy, it is for God.”
is confessing.
Paul was a really crazy man.
What the hell is Paul? Why are you crazy?
In the process of finding this answer, I pray that you too will have a work that affects you as one with me.
Go to Word>>
What was the apostle Paul crazy about?
And what should we be crazy about?
First, Paul fell for the love of Christ.
If we look at the words of verse 14,
“The love of Christ compels us.”
confesses Paul.
Here, the word gang-gwon means “a figure that has been held firmly so that it cannot move.”
Paul confessed that he was caught by the love of Christ and could not escape from it.
He now has a love fever.
He gives two reasons for this.
These two reasons are also two reasons why we should fall in love with him today as well if we are truly born-again Christians.
First, because Jesus died for me.
Looking at the second half of verse 14,
“We consider that if one died for all, then all died.”
said
Also, in Romans 5:7-8, Paul confessed,
“It is not easy for anyone to die for the righteous, and some will dare to die for a good man, but God demonstrates his love for us in that, while we were still men, Christ died for us.”
I did.
God has proved that He loves us even to the point of dying on the cross.
This is because Jesus became the reason for my life.
If we look at verse 15 of the text,
“He died for all, that the living might no longer live for themselves, but for him who died for them and was raised again.”
said
The Apostle Paul testifies that Jesus not only died for us, but rose again for us.
And he says that he rose again so that we might live for him who rose for us.
Jesus is the reason for our existence as saints and the purpose of our lives.
In fact, the reason we were given the title of Christian is that the believers in Antioch always talked about Christ, lived like Christ, praised Christ, and preached Christ, so those who do not believe came to be called Christians.
How many people are living without purpose in this world?
Most of our life's helplessness and apathy is due to a lack of sense of purpose.
But now we have an object that we can see clearly and live.
He is Jesus Christ.
Now, Paul had no choice but to fall for the love of Jesus.
At this time, I hope that we too will become saints who can reach out to that love because of the Lord's love.
Second, Paul, who was crazy about the love of the Lord, was crazy about spreading that love.
The apostle Paul was not only crazy about loving Christ, but also about spreading the love of Christ.
In the words of Acts 26:24, when Paul preached to Festus, the governor sent to Judea from Nero, who was being held as a prisoner while he was preaching and was still interrogating him, he said to Paul, “Paul, you are crazy. A lot of science has driven you crazy."
Paul was really crazy about sharing the love of Christ.
I believe that all Christians should.
Because, according to the text, there are two reasons why we should be crazy about spreading the love of Christ.
First, because only the love of Christ changes man.
The greatest human longing for existence is the longing for change.
No one is satisfied with who they are.
Therefore, the greatest dissatisfaction with humans is dissatisfaction with themselves.
And the greater this dissatisfaction, the more amplified the desire for change into a new being.
But the problem is that change is not easy.
But Paul said in verse 17 of today's text, "If anyone realizes the love of Christ and remains in Christ, he becomes a new creation."
The gospel is the only remedy for changing human beings.
That's why Paul confesses in Romans 1, "I am not ashamed of this gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes in it."
At that time, the Roman Empire was proud of its military power, science, and philosophy.
But neither force nor science nor philosophy could save or change a soul.
Only those who heard the gospel of Jesus and believed were changed.
So Paul had no choice but to go crazy about spreading this love.
Next, because only the love of Christ reconciles man to God.
According to the Bible, mankind's greatest task is to establish a right relationship with the Creator God.
Since humans sinned, humans have turned their backs on God.
And all human tragedies stem from turning our backs on God.
Why did God send Christ into this world?
In verse 18, the apostle Paul called the responsibility of evangelism “the ministry of reconciliation”, in verse 19 he taught the gospel and called it “the word of reconciliation”, and in verse 20, evangelism is “reconciliation with God.” is testifying.
As the influence of our evangelism increases, this world is becoming a world that God can bless, a world that is reconciled to God.
In that sense, the gospel is an event that not only changes individuals, but also transforms the world.
Therefore, Paul was crazy about preaching the gospel and preaching love.
At this time, I hope that all of our serving families will become members of the church who are involved in spreading love.
At the end of the speech>>
The people of the world also make sacrifices for themselves and confess to those who devote themselves to them that I will work hard even with that person's share because I received the help of that person.
We are living the life of a saint who received the love of the Lord who died on the cross for us.
It is very natural for us to go crazy because of the Lord's love and to share that love with the world.
We must be crazy saints.
In the name of the Lord, I pray that all of our saints will be devoted to loving the Lord and spreading that love.
