Title: Man Before God/Job 9:1-10
Content Job 9:1-10
man before God
##### 1. Humans cannot be righteous before God
“How can life be righteous before God?” (verse 2).
This one word is more than enough to shut the mouths of 10 million people who are noisy in Jung-gu toward God at once.
Because there is not a single person in this world who can claim to be more righteous than God. Of course, there are some people who are revered as saints because of their outstanding personalities, and there are some who live with virtues that are comparatively superior to many others. However, when God, who is in the supreme place, looks down, all mankind is not different from each other in that they are all sinners. There are some outstandingly high mountains on the ground, but when you look down from the sky, it is like a flat land.
There is no one on this earth more righteous than God. Also, there is no one who has reached the level that God approves, and no one has reached the level where they can have normal fellowship with God by themselves. Therefore, we must not dare to weigh God with the judgment of sinful human beings.
Sometimes we doubt God's providence, but God is beyond our thoughts and is in control of all things in the world and the future course of each person's life. God, who raises the lilies of the field and the birds of the air, will guide and protect us, our children.
##### 2. Man cannot contend with God
'A man may contend with God, but he will not answer a word out of a thousand' (verse 3).
It is the conclusion that even if God points out a thousand words, humans cannot answer even a single word about it. No matter how devoutly a believer is, there are times when it is difficult to understand what God has done. However, the more serious the case, the sooner or later it will be revealed that what is wrong is not on God's side, but on human side.
--A certain Japanese writer complained to God about the unexpected death of his wife, 'You made a huge mistake'. It was because my wife was always organizing her manuscripts. But he was immediately compelled to confess his sins.
'Lord, I have said something that I cannot understand myself. Forgive me'
Everyone!
Man cannot argue with God for a single word. All inconsistencies stem from human sinfulness and folly. It is best for man to acknowledge God's absolute sovereignty and to submit completely to His providence.
##### 3. Humans cannot resist God by force
“God is mighty, and who has prospered against him?” (verse 4).
Where in the world are there such absurd words in this world to resist God by force? Recently, we hear from all over the world that due to natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes, many people have lost their precious lives and have lost the places to live their lives.
But these calamities are nothing more than the snoring of God. God's wrath is painful beyond imagination.
However, if humans, as insignificant beings as small as a speck of dust, resist God, who created the universe, by force, it will only promote self-destruction.
--Nevertheless, in the history of mankind, there have been people who practiced such delusions, and one of them is the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. He went beyond rebelling against God, even declaring that he had killed the god. This eventually led to self-destruction to death of madness. It is nothing more than arrogant human thought, but there is no greater sin of blasphemy.
// World War II, one of the most tragic events in modern human history, was further accelerated by the conclusion of the Triple Alliance between Germany, Italy and Japan in 1936. As a result of this three-way alliance, the peaceful earth has turned into a battlefield with the smell of gunpowder and bloody smell. However, among these common things, they deified themselves instead of God and abused Christians. In the end, after the victory of the righteous Allied Forces, the protagonists of the Three Kingdoms Alliance all met a tragic end. It is said that Hitler, who killed 6 million Jews, committed suicide with his lover Emma Braun with a pistol in a command bunker in 1945 while the Allies were advancing to Germany. Italian fascist Mussolini was assassinated while trying to flee the border after the Allied defeat in 1945. Emperor Dongjo of Japan fell ill and died in 1989 as a human, losing almost all of the image he was worshiped as a god by the people during the war. The three men, who were possessed by the evil spirit of war, ended up ending a tragic end under the control of that evil spirit.
Of course, humans can resist God. But we must know for sure that the price is only bitter self-destruction. Those who understand this and those who kneel before God are wise.
