Title: Man Does Not Live by Bread alone
Contents
Those who are born of the flesh only live by bread alone, because those who are born of the flesh only have one life, but those who are born again both in the flesh and in the spirit have two lives, so they do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. This is because the children of God belong to the same flesh and blood and are born again.
It is written, “Children are of flesh and blood, and he also belongs to flesh and blood in one way, to put away those who through death the power of death, the devil, to release him, not really to sustain the angels, but to sustain the descendants of Abraham” (Hebrews 2:14-16).
Therefore, in order to save the children of God who belong to flesh and blood, the Son of God, who is of flesh and blood, said, “After fasting forty days and forty days, he became hungry. Make them into loaves of bread. Jesus answered and said to them, “It is written, Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:2-4) The Bible testifies, there is.
We cannot know who has been born again without seeing the end of their deeds. It is written, “Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not think that the wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. This is the case with all who are born of the Spirit” (John 3:5-8). In other words, it is like the evidence of “Speaking to you the word of God, remembering those who led you, and paying attention to the end of their conduct, imitating their faith” (Hebrews 13:7).
Who would have known that a woman living with another husband is a born-again woman? After seeing the end of the conduct of the Samaritan woman who entered the town to announce Jesus, who will give her water that will never be thirsty, leaving her water jar for the flesh to drink, she realizes that she was a born again woman. And also, Jesus, who was tired from his journey, asked for a drink at the well, and when he said, “I have food to eat of which you do not know,” it becomes clear that he also belonged to flesh and blood. That is why the Bible says, “For both he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all of one. Therefore, he is not ashamed to call them brethren, saying, “I will declare Your name to my brothers, and I will praise You in the midst of the church.” ..” (Hebrews 2:11-12).
The Bible says about the Samaritan woman and Christ Jesus, “The woman left her water jar and went into the town and said to the people, ‘Come, see a man who told me all that I have done, is this not the Christ? He begged and said, "Rabbi, eat. I have food to eat of which you do not know." The disciples said to one another, "Who has brought food?" Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to complete his work. 4:28-34) is recorded.
The food for eternal life is all the words of God. It is written, “Manna from the other side of the sea, Rabbi, when did you come here?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate the loaves and were satisfied. Do not do it, but do it for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you, who is sealed by God the Father” (John 6:25-27).
Therefore, the Bible says, “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14), and also, “He ate my flesh and ate my blood. He who drinks it abides in me, and I in him. As the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven, not as the ancestors ate and died. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. These words were spoken by Jesus while he was teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum. Some of his disciples heard it and said, “It is difficult to say, who can hear it?” Jesus said, knowing that his disciples were babbling about these words. Are these words a stumbling block to you, and what will you do if you see the Son of Man ascending to the place where he was before? It is the Spirit that gives life; the flesh is of no avail. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and are life” (John 6:56-63). that is recorded.
“For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of incorruptible seed, by the living and abiding word of God. Therefore all flesh is like grass, and all its glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall. “The word of the Lord endures forever.” This is the gospel that was preached to you.” (1 Peter 1:23-25) Amen, thank you Lord.
