Title: Man of God/Daniel 5:10-17

Content 16. Man of God (Daniel 5:10-17)

 

Proposition: People of God are spiritual people who are not shaken by lust.

Purpose: To have faith standing right before God

Introduction: The fortune teller or the doctor did not know the writing written on the wall by the finger that made him terrified, and he could not reveal the truth of the incident. At this time, God's man was needed. What kind of person was Daniel, a man of God who was able to solve this problem?

 

1. a spiritual person

A. A person with the spirit of the gods

1. Daniel knew that the people around him also had the spirit of the gods.

2. He was a man filled with the Holy Spirit who God was with him.

3. He was a man with the wisdom and understanding of God.

B. A man of God is a person with whom God is with him.

1. At all times, there is evidence that God is with the people of God.

2. The people of God are those who have spiritual wisdom.

C. Only God's people can interpret God's Word.

1. Spiritual things are discerned only by spiritual things.

2. It is possible for a spiritual person to discern and receive the Word of God.

3. The wisdom of the world does not know God (1 Corinthians 1:21).

 

2. A person who transcends money, fame, and power (v. 17)

A. A person that money can't buy

1. Belshazzar offered the best conditions such as money, fame, and power.

2. Daniel was a man who was not shaken by money, fame, and authority.

3. Daniel was a man that money could not buy.

B. A person who cannot shake anything except God is a person of God.

1. A person who can suffer any sacrifice or loss if it is God's will

2. A person who cannot make any temptation unless it is God's will

3. A person focused on God.

C. Who am I?

1. Are you a person of God's priority?

2. All saved saints are people of God.

3. We must live a life like God's man.

 

3. A person who directly bears witness to the word of God

A. Daniel directly testified of God's will.

1. He fearlessly testified of God's wrath against Belshazzar.

2. He was not afraid of human dignity or power.

3. Only God's Word was delivered as it was.

B. The people of God are those who directly testify to the Word of God.

1. A servant of God is a person who directly testifies to the Word of God.

2. A person who does not fear people or the powers of the world, but only fears God.

C. How are we?

1. Are you sharing the word of God with people around you?

2. Am I receiving and putting into practice the Word of God given to me?

 

Conclusion: Like Daniel, a man of God, let's stand firm before God and become a man of God who directly testifies to God without turning left or right.
