Bible: Ezekiel 36:26-27
“Though you wash yourself with lye and use a lot of soap, your iniquities will stand before me, how can you say, I have not defiled” (Jeremiah 2:22-23). Jesus also said (Matthew 15:19), “Out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, fornication, theft, theft, false witness, and blasphemy.” But why do you need to become a new spirit person? This is because God gives a new heart to those who have a new spirit, blesses them, and lifts them up and uses them. Let's look through the Bible to see what kind of person who has the new spirit is.
First: I am a meek person.
“I will remove the heart of hardness from your flesh and give you a heart of tenderness” (verse 26). The person of the new spirit is meek. "Hard" means a stone in the original text. This stone-like heart must be removed by the Holy Spirit. Meekness is the first virtue of a minister. Therefore, if you receive the grace of the Holy Spirit, your hardened heart will disappear. (2 Timothy 2:24) “As a servant of the Lord ought not to quarrel, but to be gentle toward all people” Let us have a tender heart. A tender heart is a loving heart. A harmonious mind. It is a spirit of cooperation. A developing mind. It is a zealous heart. Jesus said that we should be yoked together because I am meek and humble of heart. Only the meek can work together. The meek will possess the earth.
Second: A person with a holy heart.
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you” (verse 26). A person of the new spirit is a sanctified person. A new heart is a holy heart. The old heart is a sinful heart. (Ephesians 4:22) “Let us put off our old self, which is corrupt according to the lusts of temptation.” Because the people of God must be sanctified. So it's valuable. The Holy Spirit works. How are you sanctified? You must repent and receive the Holy Spirit. It's not possible any other way. (1 Samuel 10:6) “The Spirit of the Lord will come upon you greatly, and you will also prophesy with them, and you will be changed into a new person.”
Third: Those who obey God.
“And I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in my ordinances, and you shall keep my ordinances and do them” (verse 27). People of the new spirit are those who obey and follow God's Word. In this way, obedience to God's Word is absolutely essential. If you forsake the master's will and do my own will, you will be driven out. You can be praised only when you follow the master's will. Therefore, workers must first receive the training of asking and waiting for God's will and the training of obedience. That's a team. Our Lord is the Savior and set the example as a precious servant of the Father. I hope that you will become a servant of the Lord as a new spirit person.
