Title: Many Parents, No Children
Bible: Ephesians 6:1-3
Title: Many Parents, No Children
Ephesians 6:1-3 ‘1. Children, obey your parents in the Lord;
The Ten Commandments are the laws given by God who created man by condensing how to live a righteous life and the way to prosper. It is not a law of atonement, but a way of living.
Of the 10 commandments, only the fourth commandment, keeping the Sabbath, is the Lord of the Sabbath, the Lord of the day is more important than the day. Since the day to do so naturally became the current Sunday, it is not a violation of the commandment, but rather the fulfillment of the commandment.
Serving parents today is disappearing. There are many parents in the world, but their children do not know where they have gone, and even if they live nearby, they are far from them. I'm trying to share God's will with the title.
1. We must obey in the Lord
Text Ephesians 6:1 “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.” The word obedience, or uJpakouvw, means to hear from below as a subordinate, to listen. It means to listen humbly to the words and wishes of your parents.
If you obey your parents, you will show respect for your superiors in society. To obey in the Lord does not mean that only parents who believe in Jesus should obey, but those who are in the Lord are naturally right, but obedience is the principle. The Bible clearly commands and encourages filial piety.
1 Timothy 5:4 '...If you have children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show filial piety to their parents in their own homes...' Leviticus 19:3 'Each one of you fear your parents and keep my sabbaths. I am the LORD your God.'
The order of the commandments precedes the Sabbath, but God even commanded us to fear our parents and keep my Sabbath. It's not about the Sabbath or anything religious, but it's telling you to seek God while revering your parents first.
2. We must honor our parents
Text Ephesians 6:2 “Honor your father and mother, for these are the first commandments with promises.” The word “honor”, tivma, is an attitude toward those who are more capable than oneself, and it includes the meaning of acknowledging value. If obedience means respectful listening, then reverence is the culmination of respect for upholding and serving.
Although society's knowledge and culture are advancing, the heart of parents for their children remains the same as in the past. But the parents are there, but there are no children. Generally speaking, in wealthy areas, children may not know where they are, but there is no one to serve their parents, so it is a rare situation where they receive help from the people of the district office or religious groups. There are many parents, but no children. There are many children in the world. But children like children are rare.
3. Filial filial piety is the secret of blessing
Text Ephesians 6:3 “In this way, it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.” As a means to live well and be happy in the world, we pursue for money and fame. Problems pile up, but they are not satisfied, so it is often heard in the news that they violate the custom of stabbing and killing their parents for money. It's horrible and nonsense.
Deuteronomy 5:16 “Honor your father and mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and prosper in the land the LORD your God is giving you.”
Christianity is a religion of truth that believes in Jesus and will receive eternal life after death. However, we need to know the truth of the Bible that teaches us what to believe, how to live, and morality. The Bible does not teach that we go to heaven after we die in faith. We must testify by living a prosperous life on earth. The first step in life is to obey and honor your parents, and this must be accepted as a command from God. Then it will be fine.
Do you want a blessed life? If you look closely at the Bible, you can see more than 80% of the words telling us to keep the basics because people have abandoned their basic lifestyle. It is not just about living a spiritual life, ignoring common sense, and praying in the fields in the mountains, out of the way of people.
There is a saying in the Jujusip Hoehoon, 不孝父母悔悔. If you don't show filial piety to your parents, you will regret it after you die. Among human morals, obeying and respecting parents first is the first. If you can't do this, how much do you know how to live a better life? You're getting it wrong.
Even if ten children unite their hearts to think of their parents, one parent cannot be overcome by the heart that thinks of their children. The end of the last days can be seen just by looking at the relationship between parents and children these days. There are many true parents in the world, but there are no true children. I pray that you will believe and act on the path of blessing God has given you, filial piety, as the first covenant. *
