Title: Martyr's Happiness

Contents

Martyr's happiness (Matthew 5: 10 - 12)

Jesus was pleased to give us the Beatitudes on the Mount and invited us.

The first and last beatitudes of the Beatitudes on the Mount conclude with Heaven.

Blessed are the poor in spirit at the beginning of the Beatitudes on the Mount, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they that in the end they are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Therefore, the Beatitudes on the Mount begin with Heaven and conclude with Heaven.

Heaven for the poor is a blessing that can be received on earth.

For those who suffer persecution and suffering for the sake of righteousness will eventually die.

The eighth blessing received through the Resurrection is given to the victor of faith.

It is the blessing of the crown, and it speaks of the higher heaven of the afterlife.

1. The life of Jesus is a life of suffering.

If we consider the Beatitudes on the Mount as a process, it foreshadows the entire life of Jesus.

Being poor in heart, he humbled himself and was born in a manger. It was the beginning of a poor life.

With a heart of mourning, Jesus wept for the country, people, brothers, and us.

He endured with meekness, he waited, he did not break even a bruised reed,

He constantly lived righteously and took the will of God as his food,

He lived with a hunger and thirst for righteousness, and a compassionate heart,

He had compassion for the sick and the poor, and he was pure in heart, and in his heart was a secretary.

He sympathized with the poor and became the king of peace in his heart.

In the end, he suffered persecution, insults, and crucifixion for the sake of righteousness and died.

The Lord is clearly our reconciler.

Jesus was born in a manger, lived a poor life, and died on the cross.

He accomplished peace between God and us humans and finished his earthly ministry.

By death and resurrection he sat down at the right hand of the throne of God, the beatitudes of the mount

With all the blessings connected from the earth to the life to come, Jesus has given us

He tells us to enter through the narrow gate to receive this blessing. (Matthew 7:13-14)

2. The Beatitudes of Jesus can be received through suffering.

To receive the Beatitudes on the Mount, one must be poor, must mourn, and must be hungry for righteousness.

To be meek, to be merciful, to constantly strive for peace

You must enter through a narrow gate, but the gate that leads to life is narrow and the road is strait.

We suffer many sufferings on this earth   suffering as a punishment for our sins.

There are sufferings of the righteous who suffer vaguely without any fault.

The Bible says that suffering and suffering is punishment.

When you suffer for your sins, you receive grace when you have a repentant attitude.

How many afflictions are ambiguity?

I obeyed the traffic laws, but the car coming from over crossed the center line and got my car.

There are many injuries and deaths, and even though we live a good and righteous life, we suffer unfair

You receive grace when you are vaguely suffering from being deceived and having your property stolen.

The suffering of the righteous because I have become a saint and live a good life by faith

I can avoid it, but it is a voluntary hardship I receive voluntarily.

Suffering for sins is the suffering you will know later, and you do not know the suffering you are experiencing in a vague way.

The sufferings of the righteous and the sufferings of the righteous are voluntary, knowing what they are going through.

Although we are persecuted in this life, there is a reward in the next life, so it is ‘a suffering with a future hope.

3. Christian suffering is the price of discipleship.

This suffering with an incomparable future hope is nothing

Suffering with the conviction that this is not the case is called the suffering of the righteous.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

When you suffer, if you ask why you suffer, you will say that you suffer for the sake of righteousness.

One says that for Jesus' sake, they suffer for Jesus' sake.

Suffering not because of your own righteousness or the world's righteousness, but because of the righteousness of Jesus.

The Bible calls these sufferings ‘martyr sufferings’.

Many people on this earth will suffer to achieve their righteousness,

There are many who suffer for the righteousness of their deeds, but the Bible says

The sufferings that appear in the Beatitudes on the Mount are the path of the cross that the Lord went, the path of righteousness that the Lord walked,

Through the sufferings we suffer because we follow in the footsteps of the Lord,

The Bible tells us that we are blessed when we suffer such hardships.

While living in the world, Jesus suffered persecution and was eventually crucified.

The light came into the world, but the darkness hated the light, but because their deeds were evil,

He loved darkness more than light, and when the light came down from heaven, he persecuted the light.

Good people suffer because they have become disciples of Jesus.

If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

Because this world envys and hates living good

There are many sufferings that follow Jesus.

Sinners call on sin and hate the righteous, but when a righteous person joins the evil crowd,

He hates good people because the deeds of evil people are exposed and his evil is exposed.

It is natural for us to suffer persecution when we live a good life.

In Acts 5, we find the fact that the apostles considered it right to be persecuted and rejoiced in their suffering.

(John 15:18) If the world hates you, you will suffer that the world hated me before you.

If you hate those who believe in Jesus, it is because you hate Jesus.

There are many religions in this world, but Christianity is the most persecuted religion.

Because the swastika (), a symbol of Buddhism, has a curved end,

No matter what society you enter, you will be bent over, and there will be no persecution.

In Christianity, because the cross is straight, it is straight with God, and it is straight with neighbors.

Many Christians are persecuted because they do not always bend the truth in a straight line.

4. People of faith received suffering with joy.

Jesus told us to rejoice and rejoice in these persecutions.

The persecutors framed Christians as lies at the time, but at the sacrament meeting, they said, “This is my flesh and my blood, so they framed me as a cannibal that eats people. If they eat the bread of love and kiss with love, they say that they are an obscene group, because they believe in Jesus.” at home

When they are thrown out, they are said to be family-destroyers, and to disturb customs.

The Christians at that time were falsely accused of disturbing the country.

I have heard many evil and unfair things, but Jesus said, rejoice and be glad.

In the 200-year history of Korean Catholicism, we can see that early Korean Catholicism suffered persecution.

A priest named Jumun-mo came to Korea and stayed at the house of the Goddess Chairman Kang Hwan-suk for 6 years.

I lived in hiding in the dark, but a woman named Kang Hwan-suk secretly hid the priest in Korean soil.

After staying at his house for 6 years, he was martyred at the last Saenamteo.

Regarding this, the record of the grape office at the time said, “They lost weight, lost their hunger, and broke their knees, but their faces were full of joy. It was as if they had been beaten up by a stick, and they hated life and chose death, always trying to follow God's footsteps."

They say, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

He lived with confidence in the Word.

It is a great pride of Korean Christianity that women were martyred in a male-dominated society.

The women in the room, who lived under the oppression of men, accepted God and finally

The glorious image of becoming the dew of martyrdom in Saenamteo is the pride of the Korean church.

(1 Peter 2:21) To this you were called, and Christ also for you

who suffered, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

We are called to share in the glory of Christ.

We must receive the sufferings of Christ with joy to reach that glory.

(Romans 8:17) If children of God, then heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ.

We must suffer with him so that we may be glorified with him.

In 2 Corinthians, the apostle Paul confesses that he himself filled his body with the sufferings of Jesus Christ.

But I worked too hard, I was imprisoned more, and sold countless times.

I was beaten and nearly killed several times, but I was beaten by the Jews five times, forty-one less than one, three times with a rod, once with a stone, and a day and a night before I went bankrupt.

sent in the middle, many times in danger of rivers, in danger from our own people, in danger from strangers, in danger of false brethren

It is said that he was exposed to danger, passed the hurdle of death, and was starving, shivering in the cold, and naked.

Even under persecution, one thing is always clear in our hearts, that those who want to live a godly life in Jesus will be persecuted, confident that God will reward them in the future.

We are persecuted for righteousness' sake on this earth, but we came through Jesus Christ

It must be persecution because of righteousness, and I am persecuted because of

It should always be persecution for the glory of Jesus and for the righteousness of Jesus.

Some people believe in Jesus at home, and when certain trials come, they are all persecution.

I know it is all suffering, but it must be persecution for the sake of Jesus Christ.

As his wife left the church, she neglected her household and did not take good care of her children,

When my husband persecuted me, I said, “Heavenly Father, I thank you that the reward in heaven is now great.

To rejoice in prayer is to misunderstand even if it is misunderstood.

Be diligent while attending church, take care of the household well, keep things clean,

You must be wise, and the persecution you are truly suffering in the name of Jesus Christ is because of the gospel, because of the righteousness of Jesus, and because of the truth in history.
