Title: Materials and Life of New Jerusalem
Materials and Life of the New Jerusalem City
Revelation 21:18-27
18. The wall was made of jasper, and the city was of pure gold, like clear glass... 21. The twelve gates were twelve pearls, and each gate was made of a single pearl, and the streets of the city were pure gold like clear glass. The gates will never be shut by day, for there is no night there. 27.Nothing unclean or detestable or lying will enter it, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life.' Amen
The glory of God was revealed just by looking at the exterior of New Jerusalem, but the text tells about the structure, the jewel, and the way of life there. These days, products often dazzle consumers with their exaggerated packaging, but the inside of the shining heaven was filled with more noble materials and glory than the outside.
1. Castle Jewels
Personally, I am not very impressed with the jewelry, but the jewelry decorated in New Jerusalem in the text was filled with the most valuable things in the world. What is clear is that it is to explain the qualitative value of the kingdom of heaven, and it should be meaningful that it also shows a spiritual meaning.
The contents of the text are shown up to verses 18-21. In verse 18, the wall is made of jasper, which expresses the glorious presence of God as mentioned in 4:3, and the material of the castle is pure gold, which means holiness and the eternal kingdom of God.
The foundation stones of the castle were also adorned with precious stones. These jewels were identical to the jewels of the breastplate worn by the high priests of the Old Testament.
Therefore, it means that all of God's covenants are fulfilled (Exodus 28:17-20).
First, the jasper is a clear blue that represents purity,
The second male jewel is the sky blue color, indicating dignity,
The third corn is a transparent green that harmonizes like a peacock.
Fourth, the green gem represents mercy,
The fifth red agate represents beauty,
The sixth publicity seat represents the dignity of the border,
The seventh topaz is faithfulness,
The eighth green jade is a blue, clear idea,
The ninth, golden yellow jade is glorious,
The tenth jadeite is a yellow-green translucent, full of life,
The eleventh sapphire is a deep blue gem, holy,
The twelfth midnight is said to symbolize innocence in purple.
Revelation 21:21 “The twelve gates were twelve pearls, and each gate was made of a single pearl, and the streets of the city were pure gold like clear glass.”
But there is no such door in the world. Is this the first pearl gate you see? The road to the city is pure gold like glass, meaning that it is the path of those who are pure in faith.
2. Life inside the castle
I looked inside the city, but there was no temple in the new Jerusalem. Because God the Father and the Son and Lamb were the temple itself.
is. In John 2:21, Jesus himself said that he was the temple, and in 1 Corinthians 3:16, the saints themselves were called the temple. The city did not need the light of the sun or the moon, because the glory of God and the Lamb Jesus Christ shined.
In verses 24 and 26, the kings of the earth and those who come in with their glory are not kings of the world, but saints, and their faithful reward.
It means coming in with a class.
In verse 25 it is interpreted that the gates are always open, and there is no night, and there is no thief.
do.
Revelation 21:27 “No one shall enter into it anything unclean or detestable, or lying, but the Lamb
Only those who are written in the book of life of the world will enter.” Those who are worldly profane, sinful, and untrue cannot enter it. They are expressed as very morally pure, which means that we cannot achieve moral perfection on our own, but we will enter the kingdom only by being purified by the blood of Jesus Christ, and we are worthy of the people of faith written in God's book of life. So it's not a secular place.
Looking at the materials of New Jerusalem, its interior, and the majesty of precious stones, the nation dared to see a glory that the world could not see.
and realize that without honor, glory, and purity, you cannot enter there.
To be worthy of this city, only new souls sanctified in the blood of Jesus Christ and souls of faith can enter.
I believe.
