Believe and ask (Matthew 21:22)
In the Christian faith, praying is not a concept of giving devotion, but a part of living a new life, and it is an essential part of life as a believer. A lot of prayer life is proportional to the degree of faith.
To have good faith means to pray a lot. To say that your life of faith is unfaithful these days means that you are lazy in your prayer life. To pray to God is to show the identity of a believer.
It means to believe and understand and trust God as the Creator of the world. To live without prayer is to become yourself, not God, the owner of everything in the world. So there's no reason to ask, and no reason to worry. This is the basic spirit of the unbeliever.
No matter what you know, without prayer, that knowledge cannot work properly. Because simple intellectual memories don't make miracles happen. Therefore, in order for God's work to be revealed, we must pray hard.
1. You must pray for anything
Prayer should pray for everything in our daily life. It's not just about praying for something great. Even when the nail is thrown away while nailing, you must first pray and find it before looking for it. People who do not have the experience of grace or who do not have any answers are usually because they do not pray.
James 4:2 “...you do not have, because you do not ask.”
Surprisingly, there are many people who say that they have not received grace without asking.
Family, health, work, business, social activities, relationships with people, prayers for the country, and prayers for the church on top of all that are very difficult. However, not taking time to pray and not praying on the pretext of being busy is damaging to yourself as a believer.
The present and the future, the accomplished and the fallen, the regretful and the hopeless, the impossible and the hopeless, all this is to tell God.
2. You must believe and seek
22“In prayer, whatever you ask, believing and asking, you will receive it.” James 1:6 “But ask in faith, and do not doubt at all. He who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
Originally, we have to listen to the Word of God by faith, and when we hear the covenants, we must say, “Amen,” and believe.
However, it is only through faith that Jesus died on the cross for atonement and salvation, but in reality there is no social basis for the blood of Jesus to forgive our sins.
The Bible is of no use unless you believe it.
To believe that God created the world, and to believe in the resurrection of Jesus according to the records of the Bible.
We believe and ask as God has promised. Since He promised to answer whatever He may give us, we must first ask for it. Answers are sure to come. You respond in two or three ways,
1) Respond immediately as requested
1 Kings 18:37-38 “Answer me, O LORD, answer me, that this people may know that you are a God, and that you are turning their hearts.” Then the fire of the LORD fell and consumed the burnt offering, the wood, the stones, and the soil. They burned it and licked up the water in the ditch.”
2) Sometimes the response is slow
Hab 2:3 “This vision has an appointed time, and the end will come quickly, and it will not be false. Even though it delays, wait, and it will surely come without delay.” Daniel began to pray and it was answered three weeks later. (Daniel 10:13-14).
In the parable of Luke 18, in the parable of Luke 18, a widow in the city is a bad judge who does not fear God and ignores people in order to get revenge. said to have given
He said that if God's people prayed day and night, would they not answer them?
Luke 18:7-8 “How much more will God not avenge his elect, who cry out day and night? Will he be patient with them? I tell you, he will avenge them soon. Can you see?”
3) It may be answered differently from what you asked
Another answer is the opposite of what you asked for, or an answer that fills you with something different. For example, Paul must have prayed earnestly three times to be healed of his sickness. But God made us know the reason why He did not heal, so Paul knew the reason as an answer and gave thanks.
2 Corinthians 12:8-9 “For this I begged the Lord three times to depart from me, and he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. I will boast about it, so that the power of Christ may rest on me.”
4) There are cases where there is no answer even if you pray.
It is because there is no repentance.
Isaiah 59:1-2 “Not that the LORD's hand is short, that it cannot save, nor his ear dull that it cannot hear; but may your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear you. Hamni”
Psalm 66:18 “If I harbor iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and hear him. Forgive your sins and heal the land.”
3. The best prayer center is to first seek the kingdom of God and righteousness
Matthew 6:33 “Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
Although we must receive answers to specific prayers, living our lives with the purpose of life in heaven as a Christian becomes a vessel to receive blessings. God has a lot of love and hears and responds to anything, but immersing yourself in the work for the salvation of the world and the work of God's glory as you resemble God's heart is the center of being the most blessed.
When we ask something, we must evaluate for ourselves how it is to glorify God and how valuable it is because of the answer. John 14:13 “Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it. so that he might be glorified in his Son.” Most of our prayers are mostly what we ask for our good. By the way
If our requests are engaged in the glorification of the gospel of the Lord and the name of God, surely answers will be given.
If you give up greed for anything and make a wish with conscience and desire enough to say it is necessary for God, you will surely receive an answer, but you will receive ten times as much. Today, we are living in an age where knowledge is abundant and it is easy to lose accuracy in a lot of information. At a time like this, we do not know how blessed it is to have met God who will answer anything we ask for. Let's live with the slogan to win the New Year's philosophy of life through prayer.
Let's become a person of faith who solves problems by praying in the new year.
Living well in the world is not simply living with tips, but with God's miraculous help, you can live energetically and happily. The way to win is to pray in the promised covenant.
I pray in the name of the Lord that you and I will become those who seek daily and believe in and seek in anything and overcome the world by living a life that produces miracles.
