the meaning of baptism.
Dear saints, I hope that today will be a time of blessing through God's word.
In today's Bible text, "Do you not know that we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?" is asking.
Baptism is a sign with Christ grafted into and joined to Christ. Specifically, we want to receive grace by examining the meaning of these words.
1. It is said to be buried for sins (4).
“We were buried with him through baptism into death.”
Baptism is the burial for our sins with Christ, who died on the cross for our sins and went down to the grave. The old man for sin is buried. From now on, there will be burial for sin. I want you and me to die to sin.
2. To walk with new life (4-5).
“Just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too may walk in newness of life.”
“If we have become united in the likeness of his death, then we shall also be united in the likeness of his resurrection.”
Those who have died with Jesus to sin may also walk with him into new life. We all want to walk into new life with Jesus.
3. Baptism is the Lord's command (Matthew 28:18-20)
Jesus said. “Make disciples of all nations, baptizing and teaching them to keep”
Therefore, believers must be baptized according to the command of Jesus Christ, the Lord, risk their lives, and bear the mission of witnessing the gospel.
conclude the word. Baptism is a sign of burial with Christ, walking into new life with Christ, carrying out the mission of witnessing the gospel of Christ, and joining in union with Christ.
Dear saints, We want to be baptized members who are always united with Christ.
