Title: Meaning of Baptism and Holy Communion

Content Title: Meaning of Baptism and Holy Communion

Bible: 1 Corinthians 11:23-26

Our Christian sacraments mean two things. That is, baptism and the Lord's Supper. Jesus himself was baptized by John the Baptist. “Make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. When the apostles preached the gospel of the cross to the early church, those who heard it were pierced in their hearts and were baptized and their sins were forgiven. And I received the Holy Spirit as a gift and enjoyed a life of joy.

Baptism is an example of expressing belonging to the church by hearing the gospel, repenting, believing the gospel and being born again. In other words, union with Jesus Christ means death to sin and life to righteousness. Therefore, an important condition for being baptized is repentance of sins and faith in the gospel. You must first repent of your sins. It is to repent of all the sins we have committed in our lives through our hearts and works. Some say, "I am not guilty." The meaning of baptism today is a sign of being washed away from sins by the blood of Christ. Today we are redeemed from sin and the law through the blood of Jesus Christ.

It was. Now all of you who have been baptized are set free and partake of the Eucharist, the Passover table.

The sacrament we partake of today is a promise established by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ to us. Promises are important. The sacrament we partake of today is a promise. First, the sacrament is a promise in remembrance of the Lord. The lessons the Lord gave us while on this earth and the meaning of life

It is meant to play again in this era. It is about realizing and deeply reflecting on why the Lord came to this earth, became a human, and suffered suffering. But He came to this earth to save sinners, and He suffered to bear our sufferings.

Isaiah 53:5 "He was pierced for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities. His discipline gave us peace, His wounds we are healed. And this The Eucharist promises a mysterious unity.

Whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes." When the Lord comes, we will sit face to face with the Lord and participate in the banquet of glory. That's why this sacrament is called the Mesiah Meal. Whenever we come before the Lord's Supper, we discover three important doctrines: His death, resurrection, and second coming. The Lord's Supper or the Lord's Supper is the meal the Lord shared with His disciples. It signifies the death of the Lord and faith in the Son of God. Therefore, the meaning of the Eucharist is

1) The Lord's Supper is sharing and is a complete death.

2) Giving bread means giving the body.

The Lord gave the bread and did not say, "This is bread," but said, "This is my body."

3) Giving wine means giving blood.

The Lord gave him wine again and said, "This is the blood of my covenant." The Lord made us drink His blood, not wine. Blood is life, and the Lord gave us life so that we may live. I hope that this time will be a moment of grace for all of you who participate in the sacrament to change your life and be born again. Amen.
