Title: Meaningful Days
Contents
Two hard-working people working on the field are doing the same thing at the same time. As time passes, the two of them at the end of their lives will have different endings. One person will meet the futile end of a hard life, and the other will meet the fulfillment of the holy mission entrusted by God. What is the difference between the two?
1. vain out of state
In Ecclesiastes of the Old Testament, there are words spoken through the lips of the wise.
All your pursuits in the world are in vain.
Enlarging the business, building my houses, planting vineyards (Ecclesiasts 2:4),
All the work and all the hard work (Ecclesiasts 2:11), the toil after the wind (Ecclesiasts 5:16)
All these things were in vain. It is even said that the more wisdom you have, the more troubles you have, and the more knowledge you have, the more troubles you have (Ecclesiasts 1:18).
Ecclesiasts draws its conclusions last. All the pursuits of the world are in vain, and that is why we should fear the Lord (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14).
Godless pursuits, successes, and achievements eventually return to dust.
If we do not know God (Ephesians 1:4) who has a plan for us from before the foundation of the world and do not discover the meaning of our life (Ephesians 1:6), we will carry our own burdens and return to vanity.
2. Meaning in the Lord
We have something to remember from the text. (Ephesians 2:10)
1) We are his workmanship
2) In Christ Jesus
3) For good works (work prepared by God)
4) Let us do the work.
Our lives are ordained by God. The Lord, who knows our individuality and our differences, has given us a mission that is most appropriate for us. You discover the will of God in the Lord, and you realize that no trivial thing around you is a coincidence.
Out of the Lord, great purposes are futile, but within the Lord, even the smallest fragment of three has great meaning.
