Title: Meeting and Calling
content text text
1. Saul went to the high priest because there were still threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord.
2. I asked for letters to go to the synagogues in Damascus, because if I met anyone who followed that way,
To bring men and women bound and bring them to Jerusalem.
3. As Saul went on and approached Damascus, suddenly a light from heaven shone around him.
4. He fell to the ground and heard a voice, saying, Saul, Saul
Are you persecuting?
5. He answered, “Who are you, Lord?” He said, “I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.
6. Arise, go into the city, and someone will tell you what to do.
7. Those who were going with them stood silent, hearing only the sound and seeing no one
8. Saul got up from the ground, and his eyes were opened, but he saw nothing,
go to Damascus
9. I did not see him for three days, and I completely stopped eating and drinking.
The autumn leaves that color the entire mountain are at their peak this week. Sometimes even the autumn leaves can be luxurious in our daily life without seeing the sky properly, but still, it is a time when you want to stretch out your back and look at the sky. The whole country is going crazy with the H1N1 flu, but on the other hand, the more you look inside, the more you ask yourself if it's time to prepare for the changes to come. It's not just the reddish leaves that make the autumn change fresh.
? yet… What hasn't changed...
Perhaps the most dramatic change recorded in the book of Acts is the conversion of Saul. The change from a persecutor to an evangelist must have been beyond imagination. Who could have thought of such a thing? It is our Lord who makes possible a change that no one could have thought of, even Saul himself did not know. So we can look forward to what the Lord will do even though we have worked hard and we have not changed.
? Suddenly... The Lord is at work.
Faith is the power that makes us long for and move forward with the work of change that the Lord has made, even in circumstances that do not change and do not change. In order to experience God's work, above all, we must not give up in the middle and continue to strive. It is disappointing when you look at people. Considering the circumstances, you cannot try. But when we think of the Lord, we can start over. The Lord is always greater than we think.
? meeting and calling
More important than the situation is the person. Instead of changing circumstances, the Lord changes the inside of a person. Inner change comes from meeting. Remember that the Lord has prepared this precious meeting for you. A true encounter makes you look back on yourself. It makes me think and look back on what I am doing and what I need to do in the future. The Lord who meets us also has a plan for us. Even if the work in front of you is urgent, please stop. And meet the Lord who is visiting us this fall. When you meet the Lord, you will find the answer.
