Title: Merry Christmas, Oh Mae Good Things!

Contents

1. Introduction

The flower of the Olympic Games is the marathon. The origin of the marathon race is 490 B.C. After Greece won the war between Greece and Persia at Marathon for national luck, an unnamed soldier rested 42.2 km to quickly inform the citizens who were anxiously awaiting the outcome of the war in their home country. It's to commemorate the run.

That soldier, we won! You have won! He reported <Victory of War!> and died on the spot. What did the Greeks do when they heard the news? You have won the war! Oh, that's right! That means you don't have to be sold into slavery. That means you don't have to die. Ah! Good things! Oh my good! so so so cool! The Greeks called the news of the soldier New Angelion. It means good news, good news, good news.

The Greeks commemorated the marathon that delivered New Angelion and made it the flower of the Olympic Games. The gospel is like that. The gospel is not just good news in a vaguely abstract way. It's not just clich d good news. It is a joy that cannot be expressed in words, it is news that the language has been cut off, and it is a joy that comes and goes, comes and comes, and then jumps and jumps back and forth because there is nothing to be done anymore. It's not news, it's reality.

2. Christmas is the beginning of that joy, that joy

<Hymn 109, Silent Night, Holy Night> claims that the original lyrics are mistranslated. Prof. Min Young-jin pointed out that it is correct to say that it should be called “Night when darkness is lifted” rather than “Silent Night, Holy Night, Night Buried in Darkness” (read the Bible Baroque page 122-123). Christmas is a bright and bright night when all darkness in the world has been lifted.

Verse 1 Silent night, holy night, All is calm, all is bright

Verse 2 Silent night, holy night, Darkness flies, all is light

Verse 3 Silent night, holy night, Son of God, love's pure light

Verse 4 Silent night, holy night, Wondrous star, lend Thy light

There is no word dark anywhere in the original lyrics of the hymn. Rather, darkness flew away. He said everything was bright. Christmas when Jesus came is really, truly, a good day to come. Why is it so good that I'm dying to death?

3. It's good that you light up the dark night of my life!

I went to Magoksa Temple when I was a student and got lost in the mountains at night. It looks like a road, but it is not a road. The days are cold and the nights are dark, so I couldn't be so embarrassed. After wandering for about an hour, I saw a yellow ribbon hanging from the mountain people hanging from the branches of a tree. Couldn't have been so happy. It has found a way.

For those who are lost, the night is far away For those who do not know the right way, the night road of life is hard

The land has roads. There are sea routes in the sea. There is a path in the sky. Cars, ships, and airplanes that do not go on the right path are in great trouble. There is a right way in life. Therefore, the old man said, "Do not go unless it is the way." Why? For those who go by the road that is not the road will inevitably meet a terrible calamity.

Since Jesus Christ is the one who shows me the right way in my life, which is lost because I don't know the right way, wouldn't it be nice to come? Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life."

4. He gives me strength. Come, come, come, come, come!

<What are you going to eat? what to drink what to wear Don't worry. Believe in God, believe in me again. save Find it. knock on the door I am the vine and you are the branch. If you remain in me, you will bear much fruit. Do not be afraid in your heart. I will be with you until the end of the world. Behold, I have overcome the world.> How good it is!

“It will be according to your faith” He said.

5. You wash away my sins and save me. Come, come, come, come, come, good!

Do you remember what he said to the woman in adultery? “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” If there was an X-ray device that could see through our minds, no one would be able to walk around the world. No one else knows how terrible and filthy my sins are, but I know. We all know all too well that the hymn “I am amazed at the grace that saved a sinner like me” was made because of me. I am worthy of hell. He is the one who will go to that terrible hell where the eternal flame burns and the maggots never die.

But how can I not be happy that all my sins were washed away with precious blood, forgiven and saved? Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, that's good!
