Title: Micah's West Sea (Mic. 06:1-5)
Content Introduction
1. These days, there are a lot of help lines, which is a good thing. Most of the help lines are run by independent people. However, the most important factor in counseling is “listening”. It is important to listen, not to say. It may seem very surprising.
2. Listening to other people's stories is one of the virtues necessary for modern people. People try to talk to others but do not listen to them.
3. The same is true of our form of faith. "God! Listen to me! There are only a few people who say, "Lord, say something to me!"
4. In today's Word, the Lord cried out to Israel, "Listen." What do we need to hear?
I. Listen (1-2) A. It was to awaken God's people who have sinned.
1. God delights in hearing His people's words. That's why He tells them to keep listening.
2. Among Israel's traditional education, there is a "shema". It is a unique educational method based on the words of Deuteronomy.
3. But Israel was far from hearing God's voice. They listened more to Satan's voice than to God's. They listened to the voice of a woman from a foreign country. They listened to the sweet voice of the world. .
4. The result of not hearing the words and voices to be heard was “the overflow of sin”. I don't know if there has been material abundance, but spiritually, it has been desolated.
5. He couldn't stay any longer, so God called the people. The words were, "What in the world did I torment you?" He also asked, "Do you know what I have done to you? What God has done to them" Do you know what this is? B. What is the word I need to hear?
1. Faith begins with hearing. Therefore, there must be good hearing. We must not listen to anything unconditionally, but listen to what we must hear.
2. There is a lot of pollution in the world. Even the languages we hear with our ears have pollution.
Hearing the wrong opinion of heresy is rather detoxifying our soul. Therefore, we should refrain from listening. Let's hear what we need to hear.
3. If you suffer from noise, "hearing loss" occurs. It means that you will not be able to hear the words you need to hear. To avoid suffering from hearing loss, you should refrain from listening.
4. In order to listen to the Word well, you need “a private time for fellowship with the Lord.” You must clean your ears and listen to the small and subtle voice of the Lord and the Holy Spirit.
II. Answer (3-4).
A. What have I done to you?
1. God led Israel out of the land of Egypt.
2. He gave leaders named Moses and Aaron.
3. He gave us freedom from slavery.
B. What troubled you? C. God saved me.
1. He was delivered from slavery like the people of Israel.
2. He rescued me from the chains of sin from the pain of worry and anxiety.
3. But now, do I remember that grace?
III. Remember (5).
A. Let's look back on the days that have passed.
1. The road of Israel after the Exodus was not smooth.
2. It was a fight against endless enemies.
3. Moreover, a man named Balak tried to kill God's people in a clever way. A war with weapons is rather lower than that. He tried to annihilate his opponents with the power of religion.
4. At first, Balaam was ruled by God and did no harm to Israel, but in the end, they were overcome by Balaam's clever tactics (Temptation to marry a foreign nation).
5. God took responsibility and protected us until the end for the things that humans could not do. In the end, he just failed to protect the freedom he was given.
B. Let's remember that what I became is the grace of God.
1. Am I not impatient, impatient, bubbly, and proud in everything?
2. Nevertheless, the Word of God guided me.
He commanded humility, He commanded concession and sacrifice.
commanded love
