Miracles to the Gentiles
Acts 9:32-43
In verse 32, while Peter was walking in all directions, this is the account in 8:25 that when he heard that the Samaritans also heard the word of God, Peter heard that John immediately went from Jerusalem to Samaria.
Going to Samaria, they preach the word and lay their hands on the people. Then the Holy Spirit comes.
You can see various powers and miracles appearing.
After they finished their prayers and encouraged and helped the Samaritans, on their way back to Jerusalem, they went to Samaritan villages and preached the gospel.
It is easy to see that the contents of 8:26 to 9:31 are inserted events that have nothing to do with Peter. That is, 8:26 ? Up to verse 40, there is a story of Philip leaving Jerusalem and going around Samaria and Judea to evangelize while evangelizing an Ethiopian eunuch, and in verses 1-31, there is a story of Philip going around persecuting and arresting those who believe in Jesus. Meet the story.
These two events are inserted here, so why did Luke intervene in the story of Philip and Saul in the middle of the story of Peter? It's for one purpose.
It is said that the Philip case, the Peter case, and the Saul case are all opening the door of the gospel to the Gentiles.
They have something in common. Actually, Chapter 9 begins with the story of Saul. But suddenly, from verse 32, the story of Peter comes out. If you look at the Bible today, there were already believers in Jesus in Lydda, Sharon, and Joppa.
The letters the Apostle Paul wrote and Paul's three missionary trips are in fact today's chambers.
Those with the burning heart of Jesus care for their feeble brothers.
Dear saints,
Those who seem to believe in Jesus and have faith on the surface, but wander like sheep who have left home, those who are in conflict. It is the role of the heart chamber to restore the compromised faith to those who cannot pray, cry alone, and feel lonely. Those who have received the Holy Spirit will want to receive a trial. Churches that have received the Holy Spirit are active in the ministry. I hope you do not consider the atrium a burden. Paul's 3rd early missionary journey is also a kind of trial. Look at verses 32-33.
Peter did not go to see the paralytic. However, as I was visiting, I came across this.
If you go to a house where the Holy Spirit is powerfully leading you, there will always be problems.
There are a lot of people around us who really need help, people who need comfort, and people who need counseling.
Even though it looks great on the outside and without any problems, there are conflicts and troubles deep in its soul.
Look at verses 34-35.
By the power of the Lord, Peter experiences the miracle of raising a paralytic. Miracles like this happen when we help those who will be deducted. Here are some things to note.
(1) It is the Lord who healed Enia, not Peter.
Even Peter admits that. Look at verse 34. Perhaps you had a vision or heard the voice of the Lord? Or maybe he was moved by the Holy Spirit at that moment.
Let's look at Peter's faith. Ani, I'm not saying I want you to have some babies. Very confident firstborn. He sternly says that Christ gives birth to you.
(2) Peter did not doubt when he was given this confidence. And I obeyed.
Jesus has healed you, so get up now and make your bed.
This is faith. Actions without the Word of God are not faith.
What I do with my beliefs, experiences, or philosophy is not faith. It is one's own opinion, only one's experience. I hope this will be a time for you to cast away those thoughts and experiences and change to the faith that obeys the Word. Some people feel that they have to do something even after being deeply moved by the Holy Spirit.
Sometimes I even shed tears. And after you cry, it's over.
When prayer is over, everything is over. So no miracles happen.
Be patient to the end and obey. It is going to the point of obedience with the word of true faith.
(3) It is said that Ania woke up immediately. How amazing is that? Perhaps the most startled was Peter himself. It was because he had this ability in himself.
When they saw the man, the people around him said, "Lydda and all the people of Sharon saw him and returned to the Lord."
They did not go to Peter, but returned to the Lord. Fortunately, the. They did not return to Peter, but to the Lord. It is truly a miracle fruit. There are many people who use these miracles to find their glory. We need faith to glorify God for all these miracles.
Then an incident occurs.
