The miracle of Jericho (Joshua 6:1-7)
Dear all!
Jericho was a very strong city. As a result, Jericho was destroyed. This is a miracle. This morning, I want to share grace with you while thinking about the “miracle of Jericho.”
I. When they marched around the Ark of the Covenant, a miracle happened.
What does the Ark of the Covenant mean? It is a symbol of God's presence and means that God is with the people of Israel. Everyone! Was the victory of Jericho the strength of the Israelites? no. The victory was miraculously achieved through the power of God present among the people of Israel. If Almighty God is with you, there will be no problem in Jericho. Today, our God has promised to be with His children. The Lord is present in our church now and is always with us. He is with us at home, at work, and in business. But why do God's children fail? It is because they do not recognize the presence of God and the presence of God. And it is because they have turned away from God and live with their backs on God. May we never forget that our Lord is always with us. I pray that you will become victorious saints who will walk with the Holy Spirit and follow the Holy Spirit and be held by the Holy Spirit and the walls of Jericho will fall.
II. When we obeyed while listening to the sound of the horn, a miracle happened.
Ⅲ. When we completely obeyed God's command, a miracle happened.
What is God's command?
First, go around Jericho.
It is irrational to walk around the castle. But God commanded the Israelites to do this. The people of Israel completely obeyed God's command and continued to circle. When they went around the last seven laps, when they shouted loudly in response to the priest's trumpets, the city of Jericho fell down. One obedience may not change the situation. However, you can receive God's blessings when you continue to obey completely until the end. I pray that you will receive the miracle of the collapse of Jericho and the blessing of victory by not giving up after doing it once or twice and obeying completely to the end.
Second, stay silent.
He ordered silence. I'm saying don't say anything special about complaining.
The Israelites had a lot to complain about. Now, the tour around Jericho itself was a complaint. Naturally, complaints will come out of your mouth. But the Israelites were obedient and patient. He endured the words he wanted to say, endured the complaints, and quietly walked around the city of Jericho. So we received the miracle of the collapse of the walls of Jericho.
Third, shout out loud
What does it mean when the priest blew the trumpets and the people shouted loudly? The New Testament meaning is to testify of the gospel. When the priest blew the trumpets and the people shouted loudly, Jericho's wall fell. When we witness the gospel today, the devil's city and Satan's city will fall. Become a victorious church and a victorious saint. Today, I pray that our church will become a church that bears witness to the gospel with one heart and all its power. I pray that the church will do its best to witness the gospel. I pray that Jericho will become a victorious church that collapses.
Dear all!
God has promised victory.
Congratulations on your victory. I hope that you will become saints who live centered on God and listen to the Word, and I pray that you will become a victorious church in which Jericho Fortress falls.
