Miracles through faith / Mark 10:46-52

Blind Bartimaeus became the protagonist who experienced miracles through faith. Then, what kind of faith was his faith, so that he could experience miracles? I would like to examine the characteristics of that belief.

First of all, it is a collection.

Blind Bartimaeus had the tenacity to seize the opportunity that came to him. I had a dream that I could open my eyes only if I met Jesus. So when Jesus passed through Jericho, he did not miss the opportunity and said, 'Son of David! have pity on me,' he shouted. In this way, Badimaeus did not miss a single opportunity and seized it. From that point of view, it can be seen that Bartimaeus is a person of terrifying obsession.

Therefore, I hope that we too will not miss the opportunities that always come to us and become devoted believers who can make use of those opportunities.

The second is will.

Bartimaeus drew near to Jesus and cried out aloud, 'Have mercy on me.' Then the people and the disciples rebuked him and stopped him. And various sick people were wrapping Jesus in layers. But Bartimaeus did not give up despite the high barriers and went toward Jesus. We can see the will of Bartimaeus here. So in the end, he met Jesus and was able to experience a miracle. Therefore, like Bartimaeus, we should be able to experience miracles with strong will and faith.

The third is a clear confession.

Bartimaeus had a clear confession of faith. When Jesus asked, 'What is your wish?', he answered clearly and unequivocally, 'Lord, I want to see you.' Today, we too must have a clear and clear goal of faith. You must be able to confess, “Jesus is my Savior.” In this way, if our confession of faith is clear and certain, we can resist the temptations of the devil. Therefore, I hope that you can experience God's miracles like Bartimaeus by setting clear goals of faith and challenging yourself with tenacity and will.
