Title: Mission of the Church
Contents :
As the church fulfills its mission, first of all, the Lord, who is the owner of the church that established the church, will be very pleased. Second, true peace, grace, and blessings abound among the members who serve the church. The mission of the church is so comprehensive that it is difficult to say “this is it”, but the four major missions of the church are worship, education, evangelism, and fellowship.
The greatest mission of the church is worship.
The creation's worship of the Creator takes precedence over children's respect for their parents. Worship is the first thing that God the Creator requires of His creatures.
First, worship is a human response to God's work. It is for the saved saints to realize the meaning of salvation and give thanks, praise, and devotion to the God who saved them. Second, the focus of worship should be on God, not on people. All worship should be worship to God who pleases God, whatever the conditions.
The church has a mission of education.
One of the commands that Jesus gave to his disciples when he ascended into heaven was to “teach them to keep them.” Even in the Old Testament times, teaching was one of the most important acts of faith.
The church must diligently teach about God. The church must diligently teach for the right life of the saints. We need to teach them faith, hope, love, a correct view of material things, a correct view of the country, a correct view of marriage, and a correct view of life.
The church must also teach about the afterlife to come. The church should also diligently teach service and service.
The mission of the church is evangelism, that is, mission.
A living church is a missionary church. A missionary church is a revival church. If the church fights and concentrates its energy in the wrong place, it will not have the strength to do missionary work.
All the focus of the early church was on missionary work. The message of mission is “Jesus Christ”. The purpose of missions is to save souls.
The mission of the church is fellowship.
The church is to build up the aspect of the church through the abundant fellowship. The meaning of 'fellowship' can be 'understanding', 'together', or 'beside'. Also, the meaning of ‘serving’ is deep. Fellowship without service is meaningless fellowship. ‘It is an encounter with God.’ Encounter with God is to discover God’s will by repenting of one’s sins and humbly prostrate, and to pledge allegiance and devotion. ‘It is a meeting between saints.’ Only when I approach, open my heart, and stand with an attitude of service can a proper meeting be achieved. The saints who have gone ahead understand the weaknesses of those who follow and share the pain of the saints in difficulty. We must meet as brothers and sisters as citizens of the new Christ in the old relationship.
