Title: Mordecai's Wail

Chapter 4

. Mordecai's weeping.

Verses 1-3: When Mordecai knew all these things, he tore his clothes, put on sackcloth, and risked his ashes and went out into the city, weeping bitterly and came to the front of the palace gate, and no one in sackcloth could enter the palace gate. When the king's illumination came to all the provinces, the Jews mourned greatly, and there were countless people who were fasting and weeping and crying and lying in sackcloth and ashes.

In the last scene of chapter 3, seeing Haman's evil schemes, Susanseong is dizzy, but Haman must have been very satisfied and happy while having a drink with the king.

Haman is holding a cup of wine while confidently in front of his eyes of the great success of the annihilation of Mordecai and the Jews according to his plan, but the king does not know Haman's intentions and shares the cup with him.

All the people of other nations were quiet, but only the people of Judah were trembling, complaining, and weeping in anger at the evil Haman's command to annihilate everyone, from adults to children.

How do unbelievers view this one incident? If you look at this incident simply from the outside without faith, it is easy to see that all of them died because of Mordecai. However, if you look closely at the story from the historical point of view, Mordecai's failure to bow down is only an excuse. it had come down As the prime minister, there is no way Harman was unaware of such a history.

Another is that the purpose of Haman's wish, the purpose of Mordecai's wish, and the object of faith are fundamentally and qualitatively different.

I think there will be some who will complain that the unbelieving Jews will say, 'Because of you, Mordecai, we are all going to die.' But in fact, Mordecai did nothing wrong before God, before his own people, or against himself.

① When considering God's commandments.

Only God is the object of worship to be exalted, honored, and respected. This applies to all mankind.

Above all, the Jews, chosen by God, are a special people who have received God's commandments, and only God can serve them with all their heart, soul, and soul, and He is the object of worship and exaltation.

But Haman, a foreigner who does not know the Lord God, and Haman who worships idols, claiming that he will be exalted (even if it is the king's command) does not work in the face of Mordecai's faith who serves Jehovah God.

Now, Mordecai himself is a prisoner and the king is raising Haman, so it's sad that he can't die just because he's a gatekeeper, and it's heartbreaking. It is impossible, and should not be, to say that a special nation is all at once annihilated. In Mordecai, wrath arises. There is nothing wrong with Mordecai.

② From the viewpoint of the Jewish people's faith, Mordecai had faith that was in line with God's commandments, and the entire Jewish nation was also a nation that kept God's commandments.

Therefore, even if the entire nation of Judah was killed because of Mordecai, we should not blame Mordecai, but rather praise his faith, and all the Jews should work together with Mordecai to oppose Haman. In God's eyes, Mordecai did a good deed, and in the eyes of the whole nation of Judah, Mordecai did a good deed.

But why do Mordecai and his people weep?

① Is it because you caused your people to die?

② Do you hate Haman?

③ Is it unfair to die?

④ Is it so amazing and injustice to see God's special people being annihilated by evil people?

If they were Jews, would they all weep? Will all of Jehovah God's chosen people weep? Is there anyone who doesn't? have. Esther isn't there yet. We don't know that yet.

No matter how much the people of Judah, those who do not know this fact cannot weep, and those who live in the royal palaces in the city of Nurim cannot weep. However, the death of annihilation was approaching the Jews, regardless of age or gender, rich or poor.

. Esther's decision.

Verse 4: Esther's maidservant and eunuch came and told him. The queen was very grieved and sent a garment to wear to Mordecai to remove the sackcloth, but Mordecai did not accept it.

Esther's maid and eunuch taught him the reason for Mordecai's lamentation.

For Mordecai, changing clothes is not the problem. He must save the people inside and kill Haman. you have to solve this Contrast Mordecai's weeping with ours.

However, due to Esther's circumstances, the king did not call for a month, so she could not enter the king. If you go in without permission, you will die.

Whatever the reason here.

① You are also Jewish. Do not think that you alone will escape death.

② Even if it is not you, God will save you.

③ But you and your house will be destroyed.

④ Who knows if it was for this time that you became queen?

Esther's living environment is the queen, so she doesn't have to worry about food, clothing, and shelter. It is a life of favor and kindness, serving servants and maids and maids. Even if Esther's heart is not so, the circumstances are so. be loved by the king A place that everyone in the world envy.

But why did God give the place and the environment?

① Did you say enjoy it?

② Did you give them to work out their own salvation?

Which answer would be a biblical, religious, and proper answer before God?

If Esther's answer here is to distrust Mordecai's heart by saying, 'I am a queen, and I became a queen because I was good, even if everyone else dies, I will not die.' Was this saying, 'Your father's house will be destroyed', was just meant to scare you, or is it really that way? There are no jokes in the Bible.

So, should Esther make a decision here?

① Will you keep the queen's seat and preserve her happiness?

② Or, when you hear the rumors from Mordecai, will you save my people even if it means giving up this one fleshly life voluntarily, actively and affectionately?

My people have died because of their faith in God. Can I eat well and live well on my own?

Even if I am not like Esther, who gave me the circumstances of my life? Who gave me the wealth of this youth of mine, the rest of my life, the wealth of this material, my spare time, etc.?

When the essence of God's word of life, the word of truth, the word of reason, and the gospel becomes blurred, turbid, and many lies, When God's chosen people are infected with Haman's thoughts and spirit and die Can you survive?

How will you live? Will you live by investing for your own salvation? Esther came out saying that she would die if she threw away all her happiness, her glory, her love, and her honor.

Anyone who hears Mordecai's weeping will have Esther's decision. It is Vashti who does not come out, and Haman who hears Mordecai's weeping and ignores it.
