Most Beautiful Saints / Song of Songs 1:1-4 (Old Testament p. 961)
Nowadays, many people are paying attention to their health.
Did you have breakfast in the old days? Or did you eat? It was.
Today's greeting is to lose some weight. Are you a little hungry?
So many people are interested in exercising and losing weight.
Men are investing their money by playing futsal, tennis, fitness, etc.
Women are losing weight by investing money in belly dancing, tummy tuck, yoga, sports dancing, etc.
In particular, women seem to be more interested in building a body rather than losing weight.
That's why I'm trying to make an S-line even when I'm older.
However, just because a person becomes an S-line and has a good body does not mean that it is beautiful.
If you look at a popular song, it seems that there is a song like this.
♬Are you a pretty face or a girl? You have to have a pretty heart to be a woman.♬
True beauty lies in a person's heart, not in their appearance.
No matter how beautiful you are, it is of no use if your insides are dirty.
ex) Among fruits, peaches seem to rot easily.
I love fruit, so I cut a peach that looks very coveted. When I tried to eat one side of it, it rotted inside and I had no choice but to throw it away.
Then, when will the saints look the most beautiful?
1. When the saints pray, they look most beautiful.
In particular, it looks the most beautiful in the image of the saints praying in the morning.
Even pastors do not want to come out at dawn when they are tired, and do not want to go when it rains and snows.
Also, although we are not members of our church, there are people who come out to pray quietly once or twice a week. When I opened the church door without knowing it once, the figure of Him praying came to be seen as an angel.
Even though I am not a member of our church, the way he came to our church and prayed for our church, the ministers, and the saints was like an angel.
It was so beautiful to see him praying by himself.
2. The most beautiful thing is that the saints evangelize
Last summer, when I watched the young students of Wolgwang Church holding hands in the church yard, praying passionately and going out to evangelize with tracts, my heart was moved.
As soon as the members left the church with the tracts, their backs were so beautiful.
When I was in Pohang, there was a person in charge of the district. He wasn't a man of wealth. I saw how they evangelize the area they were assigned to and take responsibility for and manage those who evangelized to the end. I saw a very beautiful image in the way people who did not buy a car but bought a van to evangelize were brought to worship on Sundays, Wednesdays, and even early morning prayers.
3. You are most beautiful when you serve.
There is a saying, 'Let's become a rag-like Christian'. This isn't about being dirty and being like a mop. This is a commitment and confession of faith that believers who serve the Lord and serve the church should live like this. When a mop passes through a dirty place, it becomes clean. When you pass the floor, the floor becomes clean, when you pass over the desk, the desk is clean, and when you pass the floor, the floor is clean. But after using the mop, they throw it in the corner of the floor.
The mop cleans the whole house, but it has never taken the lower neck in the bedroom, and that doesn't mean it won't try to occupy it. Only the mop is content that the place it touches has been cleaned and that it has been used to clean the whole house.
Today, even when all Christians live serving the Lord and serving the church, it is so beautiful to see the saints living like a rag.
When there are dirty places, problems, and pain in the church, His touch, His interest, His love, the place becomes clean, problems are solved, love sprouts, and the fragrance of Christ appears and when the glory of the Lord appears, what could be more beautiful than that?
Even after that happens, I don't show myself up or try to be treated like I have done this job, but I am satisfied that I have been used for such a beautiful thing that the Lord is pleased with, and thanking the Lord for using me for that purpose, thanking the Lord, no one Even if no one recognizes me and no one recognizes me, I live a quiet life, content with knowing what the Lord has to do and acknowledging the Lord! I think that is the Christian life like a mop.
Then we will become "holy rags." Isn't the life of such a holy mop the most beautiful form of faith?
4. It is most beautiful when the saints receive blessings and live a happy life.
Once upon a time, in any house, there was a young man who lived as a servant. This young man was raising cattle in the house. In the meantime, a church came into the town where he lived, and the young man also went to church, met Jesus, and lived a life of faith. In the meantime, I became independent from the house I was working in and made a lot of money later. He became an elder in the church and served as president of the dairy society. Then he ran for the city council and was elected.
Isn't that elder's life so beautiful?
In Aesop's fable, an old hound who has served his master faithfully goes hunting with his master as before. After a while, the hunting dog found the roe deer and pursued it with all its might. The roe sacrificed its life and ran away, but while it was resting, the old hound bit the roe deer's neck as before, but now it has lost many teeth. After one struggle, he lost the roe deer he had bitten. The owner, seeing this scene, just beats the old hound with a horse whip. It is said that the hound begged and told of his past achievements, but the owner did not pretend to hear and continued to beat him.
In this way, Satan uses people to the full as his tools, and later takes them to hell if there is no use value. However, our God is the one who takes responsibility for the children of God who depended on him, looked at him and obeyed him to the end, and blessed him in all things until the end, even in old age. Also, God is not only responsible for the lives of His children on this earth, but also leads them to the eternal kingdom of heaven so that they can enjoy the blessing of eternal life with God.
Dear saints,
The Bible describes Jesus as the bridegroom and us believers as the bride.
In today's text, Solomon sings the song of Shulam's love for a woman.
I confess that I love you, how beautiful it is.
Today, as the bride of Jesus, I pray in the name of Jesus that you will become beautiful saints who can hear the confession that they are beautiful and loving when we show them to Jesus, the groom through our faith.
