Title: Most High and Mighty Name
Acts 4:12, Romans 10:13
Many Christians do not know how high and powerful the name of Jesus is, but there are many believers who only know the name that is called at the end of prayer.
A pious and powerful monk in Europe said that the secret of his life full of power and joy lies in calling on the name of Jesus quietly and many times. He said that he called on the name of Jesus 3,000 times a day. It is said that if you call on the name of Jesus with a sincere heart, the cold will go away when you are cold, the thoughts of food will go away when you are hungry, and the neuralgia of the back and legs will go away and stop. In order to experience the power of God, whether standing or sitting, walking or lying down, if you continue to pray, saying, “Lord Jesus, have mercy on this sinner,” in the name of Jesus, you will be refreshed and feel the presence of God. I did.
The meaning of the name Jesus is well expressed in Matthew 1:21. “You will give birth to a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” It means “one who will save his people from their sins”. Also, God gave Jesus the name 700 years before he was born, but in Matthew 1:23, “Behold, a virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call his name Immanuel… The meaning of the name is “God is with us.”
1. Be saved in the name of Jesus
Acts 2:21 says, “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”, 4:12 says, “Salvation can be found in no one else. “There is no work,” the Bible says. Any heinous sinner who believes in Jesus and calls on the name of Jesus will receive eternal life and be saved. There is no other name to be saved except the name of Jesus. John 1:12 promises, “To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” Calling the name of the founder of another religion a hundred or a thousand times is useless. In Matthew 1:21 it says, “You will give birth to a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”
Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. come,” he said.
If you believe in Jesus and call on the name of Jesus, those who will fall into hell can enter the eternal kingdom of heaven. What a wonderful name.
2. Receive the holy spirit in Jesus name
If you look at the early church, you can see that they were baptized in the name of Jesus and received the Holy Spirit. In John 14:26, Jesus said, “The Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” You have to ask for the Holy Spirit while calling on the name of Jesus to receive the Holy Spirit. If you receive it regardless of the name of Jesus, you are receiving an evil spirit, not the Holy Spirit.
3. Receive answers to prayers in the name of Jesus
God wants to give more than we want to receive. Colossians 3:17 says, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” If it is not a representative prayer, but a prayer done alone, if you pray while calling on the name of Jesus in the middle of prayer, you will not be disturbed by the devil and you will be able to reach your home better.
4. Be healed in Jesus name
In the name of Jesus, we have the power to heal both body and soul, so when we pray in Jesus' name, we are healed. In Mark 16:17-18, “These signs shall follow those who believe, in my name they will cast out demons, and they will speak with new tongues… Lay your hands on the sick and they will recover... As you said, you will be healed when you lay your hands on your hands and pray in the name of Jesus.
5. We work in the name of Jesus
In the early church, the reason why they caught the apostles and beat them and prevented them from speaking in the name of Jesus was because power was manifested in the name of Jesus and various miracles were performed (Acts 5:42). In Luke 10:17, “The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name.” Jesus rejoiced and saw Satan falling like lightning. We must call out the name of Jesus many times, convinced that there is power in the name of Jesus to cast out demons and defeat negative forces such as the devil who is trying to destroy us. When the devil penetrates into us and oppresses us, gives us fear, and gives us guilt and sorrow, we must rebuke and cast out them in the name of Jesus. Since we are calling Jesus as Lord, Savior, or substitute, we must call on the name of Jesus to exercise our power.
However, we must be careful not to misuse or abuse the name of Jesus. In Acts 19, when the apostle Paul saw that he was healing and performing strange miracles in the name of Jesus, the seven sons of Sceva, imitating them, gave orders to a man possessed by a demon, and the man with a demon answered, “… I know Jesus and I know Paul, but who are you? ” (Acts 19:15), he jumped up and rode it down, so he threw off his clothes and ran away naked. The reason is that they did not believe in Jesus as their Savior and used the authority of Jesus' name as a joke. And even if such a person heals and casts out demons in the name of Jesus, on the day of judgment, Jesus I never knew you; depart from me, you who practice lawlessness... ” (Matthew 7:23) and they will be rebuked.
6. We can be with you in the name of Jesus
As it is said in Matthew 18:20, “Where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them”, where we gather in the name of Jesus, we can know that the Lord or God is present there. Please definitely believe it. Even now, because we have gathered in the name of Jesus, please believe that God is with us. Matthew 1:23 says, “Behold, a virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and he will call his name Immanuel, which is translated, ‘God with us.’” God departed from mankind who had fallen through sin, but God, who departed because Jesus became the propitiation sacrifice, will come again and be with us. When Jesus was in the flesh and was on earth, He could not be with us anytime and anywhere, but the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, is with us anytime and anywhere.
7. Bring vitality to your life, in the name of Jesus
Just as a vine supplies the essence to its attached branches, when you call on the name of Jesus, you will be connected with Jesus, the source of life and power, and you will be refreshed, have a clear mind, and gain emotional stability. He said, “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and Colossians 3:17 says, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Hebrews 13:15 says, “Therefore let us always offer to God a sacrifice of praise through Jesus, which is the fruit of lips that testify to his name.”
It says to offer sacrifices with the fruits of your lips that testify to the name of Jesus. Therefore, when we focus our hearts and minds on the name of Jesus and call on the name of Jesus with our lips without ceasing, we receive refreshment and vitality. Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” In particular, call “Jesus, who is my life, my strength, and my hope.” The power of the name of Jesus continues to work even now.
From today, let's always call on the name of Jesus in our deep hearts and souls and live by quietly calling on the name of Jesus with our lips. Sure power, vigor, and victory will appear in our lives.
